Is Megan the caseworker for Mickey? Why would MI take him so abruptly when you are now on [at least temporary] leave, he is being cared for, and Andy is back in the home? That seems so bizarre to me.

The lady from home office told me that I don't quaify becase these are my grandsons and because Andy is my fiance.

Heather, I thought I had great idea for you, until I Googled, 'Common Law Marriage in Michigan". I had no idea Michigan hasn't had this since 1957.

Damn government and their social workers......they have their place, but not in this situation.

As the other poster said, you are taking care of the boys. I just don't understand the "system". And then you read all too often about negligent social workers who ALLOW abused kids to stay in the house.

I'm thinking of you hon. Please PM me if there's something more I can do.

Caseworkers don't care how traumatic it is. I don't think I ever want to be a caseworker. I could not do this to people.

Oh hun thats terrible that they didnt give you any warning and just took Mickey away, I would have been devastated, your right they just dont care about people.
