Thank you all for your kind words and concerns. We can use all your prayers, meditations, good vibes you can all muster. I work a flexible schedule that includes weeknights and weekend nights. That makes it a bit more difficult to find a sitter in a pinch. The county will pay for the five year old's care, but it will take time to set this in motion. I am hoping my employer will let me take leave to care for all these matters and give me some relief to make these sad decisions. If I take personal or medical leave, I won't get paid. If my doctor can do it, I might get short term medical disability since I suffer from panic disorder and post trautmatic stress syndrome. It wouln't be a lot of money, but hopefully enough to pay my insurance premiums and a little left over. Please pray that Doc and do this for me. It would be one less worry.
