    Eh.....

Speyside is not really my favorite, although I do not discount it.

My taste: Islay malts: 16 years at least of which my favorite: Bowmore which I am enjoying right now!

    Cheers

    Balvenie

Enjoy in moderation, at room temperature, with just a splash of fresh water. Cheers!

Yes thats one of my favourites aswell. Except i prefer it neat to get the full kick of that delicious taste. Theres a Balvenie Doublewood aswell, i think its matured in two stages in two different barrells.

who prefers a fine single malt Scotch such as 'Glenfiddich' or 'Glenmorangie'?

Either is fine with me, although I prefer Glenfiddich as I think it has a smoother taste. It's also quite good if you have an upset tummy.

    lfcviking,

I think the Doublewood is finished in Sherry casks. Nice touch.

    Borgia,

    Go Bowmore!

One more special one - Bruichladdich XVII. One whisky bible of note describes it thusly," soft and rough lovemaking to the palate."Jim Murray's Whisky Bible (3rd Year)
