I never did get the hang of drinking, exactly.

A few years ago I saw Jumping Cow Beer on the menu at a Thai restaurant. I ordered it just for laughs. It was an inoffensive lager.

A couple weeks ago I bought a Soda Club machine, so we've been going crazy with odd flavors of homemade diet soda. Before the machine arrived I websurfed seltzer recipes. I'm thinking of trying mojitos with basil in them. I also ran across a recipe for ginger-ade with basil, somewhere.

On those rare occasions when I do want a spirituous drink, I tend to favor youngish red wines – Valpolicella, Merlot ... haven't tried cabernet for a while. I also like Bushmill's Irish Whiskey on occasion.

I love yager bombs!

I love bloody marys, but only my husbands, he uses V8, vodka of course, horseraddish, bitters, pickle juice, salt & pepper, ummmm delicious!

I love bakini martinis and dirty martinis.

I love a miller lite with a lime, very cosomopolitan (Ha).

I love fat tire beer.

There was a great beer thread here not long ago. I prefer stouts & other dark varieties--Guinness, Murphy's Irish Stout, Beck's Dark, etc.

Red wine is second choice--Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon. Really starting to like Chilean & Aussie offerings..

Tequila (of course!!!). Good sipping varieties such as Cuervo Tradicional or Herradura (when I can afford it..)

Mixed drinks??? Bloody Mary, with lots of Tabasco added. The spicier the better

I usually drink Pinot Grigio. I recently tried an Apple Martini - it tastes just like a sour apple Jolly Rancher!

Also like Dirty Martini and in the hot summer, Margaritas!

Beer: Blue Moon w/ extra orange or on cheap days Miller Lite

Wine: Blue Nun

Liquor: Washington Apple shots or a big fruity drink.

I love hard ciders as well. Have you ever tried pear cider? It is funky but tasty.

I prefer Stouts in pub ! St-Ambroise is the best ! Also, New Castle brown beer rocks !
