  Just got this email from a good mate of mine (who is gay). Thought it was pretty cleverly written and worth a post. Sorry if its already been posted on here!

  10 Reasons why gay marriage is wrong

  01) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester and air conditioning.

  02) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

  03) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and a cat can sign a marriage contract.

  04) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasnt changed at all; women are still property; blacks still cant marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

  05) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

  06) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

  07) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

  08) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are emposed on the entire country. Thats why we onnly have one religion in America.

  09) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. Thats why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

  10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society, we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we havent adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

  I realize this is an attempt at humor however trying to rastionalize that a homosexual act or being gay is or should be normal dosnt boad well even in this permissive society.

  My problem Isn't with two people buggering each other ,all though It Is still ellegal In all 50 states.

  My problem Is gays trying to foist there agenda as "normal" on everyone else.

  Ummm ... actually, sex between persons of the same sex / sodomy is legal in all 50 states. Or rather, the US Supreme Court has held that it is unconstitutional for states to ban the practice. See Lawrence v. Texas, 539 U.S. 558.

  As for the "gay agenda" ... yeah. Most of the gay people I know have a wickedly nefarious agenda. They get up in the morning, go to work, raise their kids, mow the lawn, pay taxes, and complain about gas prices. There is nothing normal about that!

  It seems pretty obvious that being raised in normal households and under normal situations a percentage of normal people are gay. Perhaps the abnormality, is in your head.

  I do not mean to be offencive, it just seems that normality is staring you in the face, and you just don't see it.

  What showed me that it is normal for some people, is the fact that a certain percentage of animals do it, as well. Unless of course, the animals are part of this conspiracy.

  If I've learned anything as part of my continuing exit from the WTBTS, its not to rush to judgement on people who are doing something you dont understand.
