so we had our quartley safety meeting last week at work and as soon as i walk in this jw is right up to me all excited telling me about what is going on in his life.

i really approached this lightly to inform this person as he seemed to have an open mind.

i am in the process of hunting down every "source" the jws use in their books to "discredit" evolution.

i think it could be fun.

google starting new service, g-mail.. g-mail will provide users with a huge one gigabyte (1gb) of free storage, making the need to clean out the e-mail box inbox irrelevent for most people.. the companies believe the new service will rewire the way information is retrieved in e-mail messages.

g-mail will automatically organise e-mail according to topic and allow users to search their messages --including who it is from, the text and subject lines---in the sam way they search the internet.

anyone else have an aversion to dress clothes, now that you aren't forced to wear a suit and tie (women insert their version here) to sit a stadium for 8 hours on a summer day?

being forced to do this as a young child traumatized me pretty good!

Argh!!!! An observation...

i was trying to find an article on the wbts website about jesus' death that would give some history references about the stake issue... after a while i got rather frustrated when i was coming up empty handed.

then the realization dawned upon me that it seems that the publications for the public never seem to have any research article references... just scriptural ones, and then when an interested one "progresses", they start gaining access to the "deeper" publications with research references... of course, you're only supposed to refer to the references they give you most of the time, lol.

i may be wrong since i grew up in the organization and didn't get to experience coming in on my own, but it feels uncannily true, and it makes sense for them, toss them a scripture to make them feel like they've discovered a wonderful new point of view and then throw in some "worldly" references to hammer it in that it's the truth!
