Smiddy,,,, as i hear, Toole won't be the legal go to man in the future,,, cant get the full story but there seems to have been some kind of rift or fall out. I'm keeping my ear to the ground.

A brother repeated a "rumor" from the platform last night.
by NikL ini seem to remember many talks and articles in the past about repeating rumors.last night before going into the book study the conductor said something to the effect, "i heard a rumor and i don't know if it's true but the rumor is that in the future we will be using only;y videos at the door.".
anyone else heard this "rumor"?.
and whats up with repeating rumors from the platform?

Whats going on with the 144000 thing? Spiritual people in the org...
by megaboy inkind of a two fold question, use to have discussions with witnesses about the 144000 and how i didnt agree with it being spiritual because tribes are defined, also mentioned that early on in revelations that a measurement was given for gentiles and i explained that i belived that that was basically foundating that the prophecies proceeding would have nothing to do with gentiles as in they are not measured in these concerns.
never did get any decent reasoning from them on that.. but i haven't heard about that doctrine in a while or online.
granted there are a lot more messed up stuff they teach but these things gave me the impression that it would effect the org if anyone could claim to be of the 144000. are these people suppose to be spiritual?

Jesus Christ was no Moses

in one form or another .. moses wrote / penned the first five books of the bible and went through many trials and tribulations in serving his god jehovah in his long lifetime.interacting with god at times.. jesus was born and nothing is recorded of him until he is a young adolescent child ?
and very little about him.. then we are introduced to him when he is 30 years old and gets baptised ,and only then does he start his preaching .. does he start preaching to the world ?

I really enjoy your posts and the logical development you employ. I would only add a very significant point.
By my calculations i rekon he would have worn out at least 6 pairs of sandals if not more based on a mate of mine that walked hundreds of kilometres in thongs and knew they were good for 500 k's. So I rekon leather should double that....... I need a scripture . Mate, I'm with you on this. It don't make sense.
You are the kind of bloke that sharing a beer with would transcend the piffle that is thrust upon those of us in the process of slip sliding away.

1,266 in attendance.. two 15 yo, one male one female baptised.. costs for the day, $6,951:00 .
before costs contribution to sydney branch office from last assembly surplus $3,000:00. jtg.

Yep, thats why we need all that money for new k halls.
No mention of the elephant, but i hear the deafening silence. Oh, and "the governing body are directing all of you to review the dec 2015 broadcast regarding using all tools available for spiritual advancement" Thats wots wrong apparently, "you've lost the love you had at first" I have pretty much had a gutfull. Especially when I take the same critical view of these teachings as jw's tell others to do. Things take on such a clearer perspective when you research what the scriptures say, the translation issues and the tendancy to translate to support your own belief system.
I believe more people are awake than we realise from my own observations.
And The bethel speaker ( allan wood) made an interesting application to some words paul uttered about the ministry and the relief ministry,,,, went on to encourage financial support for the relief ministry. I will try to find the scripture. I'm sure some scholars on here and the context itself would challenge that application.
