Good to hear from you Brooke; the kids are sure getting big! Sounds like they're doing wonderfully, too
I'm jealous of your plans for living off the grid and building a new home; keep us posted!

yes, it is i - whyamihere aka brookie with a side of nookie.. it's been awhile and i thought to stop in and say "hi!".
been busy with remodling and *cross your fingers* selling my house!
also, pondering the idea of building my own house - going solar, geothermal heating and cooling and maybe throwing the idea of living off the grid, so to speak.

In our area folks eat Paczkis, super -rich jelly donuts. One of the managers in the building bought seven dozen and brought them in. Wonder what it cost her.
been awhile since i participated.
like what you've done to the place, simon.
seems a bit tamer than the old board though.. need the board's input on a sociology question and wonder if some of you might respond.. i can't tell you how many conversations i have had with witnesses and ex-witnesses where the subject doesn't inevitably come up about who is still 'in' and who has 'fallen away'.
I'm the first born and the only one out.
section 884d2 of this rule says that if a person did not want to assist another in any health service situation, they couldn't be made to violate their consciences!
it "bars health care institutions and employers from requiring any individual to perform or assist in the performance of any part of a health service program '' if it would offend his/her religious beliefs or moral convictions.
if a worker refused to perform or assist an employer could do nothing about.
I believe it also covers anyone who doesn't believe in birth control, no pills or even condoms.

I wasn't at this one but the one in '54, I think. My mom was baptized. But the photos look exactly as I remember it!
so yesterday i was watching the news and i saw something about secret santa.
there is this movement of people who hand random strangers $100 bills at places like laundry mats and thrift stores.
so i was "moved" and decided to give it a shot.
You're not crazy; it was awesome! I like what you did better than what I do sometimes. When I'm in a coffee shop and have paid for my coffee, I'll hand the cashier a five and tell them to let the next customer know their drink is paid for but they can't let them know it was me. The cashier is always delighted and so is the customer. I don't usually get to see who receives the benefit but that's not the point. I do this most often when I'm feeling down and it picks me up.
considering that my christmas present was alive and couldn't be wrapped, i got her last friday.
the funniest thing is that she has taken up a spot under the christmas tree to sleep!
it's like she knows she's a christmas present!
They're both beautiful. Sasha reminds me of my Fina who died about eight years ago; I can't believe she's been gone that long. She still is in my heart.
Congratulations! What a wonderful gift.
well, why can't i cut and paste material?...am i restricted or something?
have tried and tried.
maybe i will be able to if i can just start the damm thread......oompa
Yes, friends of mine sold their home and dragged their three kids off to live in poverty in houses that were barely inhabitable - no electricity or running water or heat at night! Yup, Jehovah's heart just warmed at this.
baptism shows a decision to "do right
At nine you can't decide what's "right." You could get a child to believe all sorts of things and make a promise. This promise commits them to a very narrow definition of what's "right." If the boy doesn't conform he'll be tossed aside by his family and community, very likely as a teenager when he needs them the most.
