Grateful to Watchtower for turning me into an apostate and the Bible for making me an Atheist.
As many have mentioned here, after becoming an atheist, I respect other people's beliefs and get along unless any one tries to drag me into their religion.
the wts has been selling and promoting christ's return and the end times since the late 1800's, right through all of the 20th century and still continues today on the same core doctrinal premise.. 1914 was set as a year of christ taking position upon his heavenly throne followed by choosing the wts as his earthly guided organization in 1919 according to the wts.
leaders at that time.. the actual truth is that the wts is a publishing house and it was inherently pressed to make up doctrines which would gravitate attention to its published goods, accurate and honest bible interpretation was a second lesser concern.. the original heads of this religious publishing house (c t russell) first proclaimed that christ had returned in 1874 and 1914 was going to be the year jesus was going to cleanse the earth of all wickedness etc.
this was obviously a false doctrine tainted with ignorance and a bit of commercialization in reality.. so the question remains what will the wts do in the future, what will the wts do as far as doctrines to allure the general public at large ?
In other words preaching the Gospel of the Watchtower Corporation was not the true Gospel by Jesus and his instructions written in the bible
Jesus is mythical. May be some parts of Jesus story may be true. All miracles and stuff are made up.
In that context, any Christendom religion would try to manipulate its adherents and lie to survive. Not only WT
last year i had a brother tell me that one proof evolution is false is that he doesn't see it happening today... i was going to bring of viruses evolving so fast that new vaccines must be developed each year but felt he was too closed minded to receive it.
today i was listening to the audio book of 'an ancestors tale- richard dawkins' and noted oe point that shined through.. here is evolution happening>>>.

H1N1 Virus evolved as a more advanced species in the Next few years that required a more advanced medicine to eradicate.
This is micro Evolution. In fact the whole concept of inventing new medication, for known viruses, is based on micro Evolution. I have told this Several times to my JW wife.

i was talking to a jdub yesterday about child abuse in the organisation and this was his response:.
"it has been known for kids to make stuff up.
we have to trust the society on these things, also the legal process is there.
JWs justify the children's death , due to the parents refusal on blood transfusion.
Why wouldn't they justify or shift the blame on Child abuse ?
living in new england means having lots of snow and cold.
elders were very reluctant to cancel or reschedule a meeting due to the weather.
i lived 3 towns away from the kingdom hall and if it was icy and treacherous my vote would always be to cancel the meeting....and forget about rescheduling!.
Why Cant Big or Small J control the weather to be pleasant during meetings, FS and conventions ?
After all, its the most important Life saving work in this whole universe.Rain or storm or snow should only be between 10PM to 6AM, local time. All should be cleared at 7AM.

1974 : my mom, my brother and i were all baptized after all the convention talks and watchtower magazine articles that 1975 would likely end this system of things.
1999 : being told that the year 2000 was going to mark the 6 thousand years of mans existence and that the 1000 year kingdom in the new paradisewould come in the year 2000.

last week i celebrated my birthday.
accepted well wishes from people near and far.
had been happily accepting wishes from people since i quit the cult.. as a jw, (brainwashed ) belief that birthdays are evil was the stupidest belief i had in all my life.. when in, i had a hard time to explain to people that i don’t celebrate birthdays.
The more years go by, away from the cult, the more happy we become while getting adjusted to normal mentality.

i've on my been on this forum for a few weeks but the more i'm learning the more ill its making me feel that i believed the wts.
my 12yr old today said i've made her miss out on having a normal childhood and i felt sick when she said it coz i know it's true.
i've been telling my dad today the things i've learned that wts had lied about and about the child abuse and he's disgusted too especially coz he's missed out on 12 years of being able to celebrate birthdays with us.
