The Bible a wierd book.
by James Mixon insome events in the bible can be questionable but there are some stories the rings of truth, and why do i say that because they are so descriptive.
judges 3:22 "ehud an israelite judge, goes to the king of the moabites to pay annual tribute.
instead, he pulls out a dagger and stabs the sh--t out of the king while he is bathing, he literal caused the sh--t to flow and the dagger disappeared in the folds of the king's skin.

Are JWs the most corporate religion?
by cookiemaster ini find it pretty shocking how corporate the jw religion is.
i never saw it this way when i was in but now that i look at it from a different perspective, it seems quite clear.
much of the terminology used by jws is corporate inspired.

True, the JW religion exhibits more of a Corporate culture than a religion. Haven't seen this in any other religion, I know of.
- Calling preaching as "Field Service"
- Turning in time for field service. (American Corporate style of submitting time sheets for the hours worked)
- Ponzi Scheme to add members.
- Privileges (promotions in job) according to time worked.
- They boast that they don't take donations but have contribution boxes in all their facilities as well as ask for it in local needs.
- Dress Code. No beard for men.
- All revenue from the bottom are channeled to the top(Governing Body) for a luxurious life style.
- Claiming tax exempt, posing as a charitable Org, whereas hardly doing any charity at all.
- False advertising about themselves, that are wholly contrary to the truth.
- Hiding their real history to new converts. Like a car company that hides its faulty designs and related accidents in the past, to a new customer.
- Requiring unquestionable faith from its members. Shunning Ex members (This is more than a Corporate culture)
- Dangerous and lethal policies that kill their own members.(Blood ban and Organ ban in the past) Yet, shamelessly and without any guilt they carry on their own business without any hesitation
- Hiding child abuse cases, with corporate growth as their only agenda.

Hello Eddie, Sorry I am suspicious that you are even a Baptized JW as you claim. I say this because you might have been very well brainwashed by the JWs that you shouldn't have any blog posting activities.
A new dedicated JW convert would be quite busy and enthralled in his JW activities, like a kid opening presents on a Christmas day - and not posting anything like this. And if this is your post-baptism picture, I don't think your elders would allow for a beard.

Today's Text - Justifying The Increase Of Annointed Ones!
by Divergent inthursday, august 31. jehovah knows those who belong to him.—2 tim.
2:19.. in recent years, we have seen an increase in the number of those partaking at the memorial of christ’s death.
that trend contrasts with the decrease in the number of partakers that we saw for many decades.

As per their own reasoning, why cant any or all of the GB be mentally ill or mistakenly think that they are anointed

1 John 5:13-20 Jesus is the true God?
by NikL inone of the main things i am trying to wrap my head around after waking up to the nonsense of jw.org is the deity of christ.. jws go out of their way to ignore him, it seems to me.
they make him out to be an angel or something.
yet, if one simply reads the scriptures, you get an entirely different picture.. doing some bible reading this morning i accidentally (long story) read the latter part of 1 john 5 and it's good stuff.. after reading it in the niv i read it in nwt and it is still pretty amazing even in that abomination of a translation.. it says.... 13 i write you these things so that you may know that you have life everlasting, you who put your faith in the name of the son of god.

Jesus didn't write a single word in the Bible. Did he ? No historical evidence of his existence and his supposed miracles. Are there any ? Nothing that he promised happened so far. Then why to "Search for a black cat in a dark room where there is no cat at all"

Your View Of Death How Much Does It Effect The Way You Look At The World Around You?
by Brokeback Watchtower inlets face it the watchtower's indoctrinations effect the way we look at the world we see governments as tool of the devil.
we look at our relatives different, we will not speak to our own children if disfellowshipped.. a better world is what christians promise believers, or hell for those condemned by the deity.
kiss the ass of the deity and go to a better world, and don't forget to put something in the collection plate on sunday.. to face death with out the crutch of a future better world for beleivers, is better, as you can cherish the life you are living and be more in the present while facing what ever life throws at you.

Hurricane Harvey JW Victims - Keep trusting in Jehovah’s loving arm of support.
by Funchback innot a peep about all victims, not even a prayer for them.
only pray for jws.
and who or what is jehovah's loving arm of support?

So Jehovah doesn't prevent the mounting disaster, but offers his arm of support. True that only Zombies can swallow such reasoning.

The true essence of the Bible—there is some problem with it?!
by venus inin the famous aesop fable, we read about a fox who unsuccessfully tried to get some grapes, but at last had to give it up, and walked away with his nose in the air, saying: “i am sure they are sour.”.
someone made a second part to this story.
fox did some rehearsal in the night and came on to the scene next day, and jumped with difference and got the grapes from the vine tree, and he began to eat to his full capacity.

This is a great thread.
Once the ransom is paid the captive should be freed. Once a person finishes his Jail Sentence for the crime he committed, he is free of his crime - Means, he paid for it.
But in this bizarre concept of Christian Ransom, Jesus died for our sins but we still suffer with the consequences of sins.
ICor 15:42: So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised up in in corruption.
If that is so, then Lazarus was resurrected without Corruption (Without Sin) and a person without sin is perfect and should be living eternally. Why did he die AGAIN?
Hebrews 9: 27 and as it is reserved for men to die once for all time, but after this a judgment
As per above, death is only once for mankind. But why did the resurrected die again?
The Wages of Sin is death. Once a person received his wages, he had got what he deserved, for the services(Or Sin) he had done. So Sin gets nullified for the resurrected ones. Then why did the resurrected Zombies die again

Advice on family waking up to TTATT
by Jules Saturn inif you've been following my posts here, i am physically in and mentally out.
it's so hard because i wish that my family could wake up just as easily as i did.
the other day i had a conversation with a relative regarding whether they have come to terms with their own mortality and they replied that they try not to think about it too much but also said that it's possible that armageddon would even happen long after they are gone, which i thought was a very interesting thought.. maybe it's just me, but i feel like what made me wake up easily was that i've always had little doubts here and there but this was stuff like me being unable to grasp the concept of how one could be anointed and how would you know if you were.

I would recommend gauging your parents and whoever is still in. Gauging in the sense, just try to predict what would be the worst they would do if you became an apostate. Based on that, decide whether you should get along or at least be PIMO.
I did this in my life. My wife and mom are still JWs. Once I decided that they would not shun me, I wrote my letter of disassociation. My relationship with them continues as happy as Usual. No repercussions!
Very often I still try to plant seeds of doubt in them. It ends up in a heated argument for a few minutes and then love takes over..

judgement and resurrection
by inbetween09 inanother inconsistency in wt theology:.
jw believe, when armegeddon comes, only jw will survive.
good news was preached in most areas and people could decide for or against god.

JWs are preaching freely in India for the past 97 years. Still hardly anyone knows about them or the Big J. I used to wonder about this very often, when I was in.
