JW renaming things: "It's Not this, it's ....."
by Muddy Waters inthis was brought up in another thread, but i thought it should have its own thread.
feel free to add your own observations and experience.
the jws are so duplicit, and they rename things to somehow justify their own irrationalities.

Who is ruling over the kingdom of the world?
by The Fall Guy inaccording to the bible, "the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.
" (1 john 5:19).
according to the deluded "slave", it's jesus; w73 8/1 p. 459 par.

Jesus came to Power in 1914. Shiva in 1918. Zeus in 2000. Sadly, all are invisible. Yet we have to believe and obey.

Question for those who went to the RC
by joe134cd ini'm just curious with all the happy clapping that is now going on with the singing at the conventions.
what has been the reaction to it with the r&f.
has anyone ever commented that it reminded them of a pentecostal revival meeting.

Sounds like a Hollywood Movie BGM. Haven't heard the Kingdom songs for 10 years and this is really a shock to me. No doubt WT is changing according to current trends to survive in the market, as like any corporation.

So the GB has admitted that God does not communicate with them. Is there any other religion or person that God speaks to?
by deegee inwt february 2017 par.12, p.26:.
" the governing body is neither inspired nor infallible.
therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction.

If an Organization claims that GOD speaks to them, or directs them, its an outright 100% fraud.
If a person claims that God speaks to him, he should be mentally deluded or an Outright fraud.

What do scriptural contradictions convey?
by venus inany book that claims to be god’s word should have the minimum qualification of clarity.
if any of its verses are open to many interpretations, it cannot be god’s word.
god can easily be crystal clear as traffic police who puts traffic signals (red means stop, green means start …etc.

Am going nuts with this:
Proverbs 26:
4 Do not answer the stupid one according to his foolishness, So that you do not put yourself on his level.
5 Answer the stupid one according to his foolishness, So that he does not think he is wise.

Believers: How do you know your view of your chosen holy book is the correct one?
by punkofnice indon't start fighting, darlings.
i am genuinely curious.
after all i was a jobo 50 years and thought the wbt$ was 100% correct.. i ask this because i see that, for example, christian denominations (or whatever), likely have differing interpretations of the same writing.

If GOD intended to communicate with humans, it would be a very open, irrefutable, undeniable form of crystal clear communication, for all generations, in a manner understandable by all the cultures of the world unanimously.
Why would he want to communicate to the Middle East herdsmen, during some ancient times, in a local language, when there was no electricity even?

For Christians: What do you think about an Armagedon and the Afterlife
by John Davis ini don't mean for anyone to get into argument over this, i just want to hear what people believe.i hope that no one will mock or argue with someone else about their beliefs, i know that i won't in this topic.. i still believe in a christian god, not what jws believe, but believe that there has to be something after this life.
i am not sure about how armageddon would go, would it be like how evangelicals believe with a rapture or timing or anything, though i still believe in a form of armageddon.
i do think that all good people will go to heaven but i don't believe in a hell.

I don't really want to hear from people who don't believe in any form of the afterlife just want to hear from people who believe in a form of the afterlife from an Abrahamic Faith's teachings.
Sorry to see that you are still not open minded and are deceiving yourself.

Do You Ever Think Of ALL The Wasted Time Because You Were a JW?
by minimus inthe longer you are out the more you see how a cult steals all your time, resources and energy.

Thank GOD (if it really exists) that I did pioneering only once during my 11 years as a JW. Looking back, I am so happy that I did only the bare minimum FS per month. (Around 5 hours)
Other than that I don't regret having wasted much time in it. I did offend a lot of christian friends/relative though, accusing them that they are worshiping the devil. That's what I regret.

I left the organization
by Issa ini left the organization.
my awakening was this month of july, the first week of july.
i couldn't answer my own questions about the organization or the doctrines, i couldn't understand the prophecies, i couldn't figure quite well what i was feeling.

In my experience, I am more happy now than I was a JW. Reason being, I made it clear that all religions are nothing but scams. -

Does Christianity Promote Self Hatred?
by Brokeback Watchtower ini think that christianity's teachings pose a very unproductive world view and are a danger to our survival.
their teachings that man is sinful and worthy of death and in need of a savior to rescue him and free him of his sinful tendencies or else feel the wrath of god.
these things that condemn man as sinful are his own powerful drives given to him at conception which he now must deny due to indoctrination and consign to his shadow(jungian).

Obviously, it does. Jesus told to hate oneself (and his family) and come after him.
