  i have been searching for this for ages.

  was really weird.. the site looks clean, i miss the old site however.

  How is Joe Publisher reacting to all the TV coverage on the abuse cases?

  i have had virtually no contact with any witnesses beside my mother for the past few years.

  she watches tv constantly and claims she has never seen anything on the watchtower abuse cases.

  In this country most are unaware of it, and those that I have tried to talk to about it have had little interest in knowing. The 2 best comments I got when I tried mentioning it are.

  1 I've got better things to worry about

  2 don't read overseas news papers because this will confuse me.

  Of course I've had the standard replies of apostate lies / greedy victims / satanic media etc

  Although I was to young to remember the 1975 fiasco. I will say the religion I knew as a young boy to the one I left a couple of years ago are totally different.

  Have you noticed that the Mormon and JW websites try to appeal as looking "normal" and "mainstream"

  for instance look at the mormon website versus jw.org.

  they both look colorful and try to paint themselves as "normal everyday people" and they don't fully explain all there beliefs for obvious reasons.

  why report more partakers?

  of all the threads here about the number of partakers increasing, i don't recall theories as to why they report this.

  they could stop reporting numbers altogether or lie.

  instead they say, in essence, "our teachings about end times and heavenly hope are still wrong"..

  Judicial Committees illegal in Finland, can this apply to USA law??

  according to this story, finland is investigating and claims that only one judicial body is legal, theirs.

  so a religion having a judicial system is illegal.

  can anyone confirm they seem to be having disagreement writing dept and service dept some feel that df ok as long as you do not add wholesale across the board shunning regardless of the sin ..

  I honestly believe that they are to far in that they can't back out of it now. If they ever did away with shunning it would not only cause serious credibility issues but a major exodus of members. If Wt knows what's good for it they will carry on as usual.
