Have you noticed that the Mormon and JW websites try to appeal as looking "normal" and "mainstream"
by yogosans14 inhttp://beta.mormon.org.
for instance look at the mormon website versus jw.org.
they both look colorful and try to paint themselves as "normal everyday people" and they don't fully explain all there beliefs for obvious reasons.

why report more partakers?
by rebel8 inof all the threads here about the number of partakers increasing, i don't recall theories as to why they report this.
they could stop reporting numbers altogether or lie.
instead they say, in essence, "our teachings about end times and heavenly hope are still wrong"..

Man if they stopped publishing numbers for the anointed of for peak publishers they would just get slammed big time on apostate Web sights. They are in to deep to back out now. -

Judicial Committees illegal in Finland, can this apply to USA law??
by EndofMysteries inhttp://yle.fi/uutiset/justice_minister_no_room_for_two_judicial_systems_in_finland/7219841.
according to this story, finland is investigating and claims that only one judicial body is legal, theirs.
so a religion having a judicial system is illegal.

Well if this is true it will be very interesting to see how this plays out, both nationally and internationally. What goes for one country has to also go for another. -

rumor out that governing body is going to adjust the loveing disfellowshiping arangment df yes shunning no.
by poopie incan anyone confirm they seem to be having disagreement writing dept and service dept some feel that df ok as long as you do not add wholesale across the board shunning regardless of the sin ..
-

I honestly believe that they are to far in that they can't back out of it now. If they ever did away with shunning it would not only cause serious credibility issues but a major exodus of members. If Wt knows what's good for it they will carry on as usual. -

jw.org cart days numbered?
by jookbeard inreading a report of an elder in a friends cong has been hiding and spying on the pioneers who seem to have a practise of dumping the cart and finding a local coffee shop, i've noticed that they do this in my local high street as well but this week they seemed to be all huddled around the cart, they've clearly been warned, a vast percentage of the time i see they seem to be more interested in fiddling with their mobile phones and gossiping, is just seems these carts are a means for the pioneers to turn in "easy time" i wonder what sort of figures show how much literature is being taken by the public?
i bet its very minimal.
naturally the gb would say they are a phenomenal success , we clearly know they are not.

I can kind of see what inside the KH as having some truth to it (BTW I not an apologist either).I would say the likelihood of the literature been read would be higher because the person has taken the initial initiative, or in other words they have approached the cart because they are interested in a topic. Where as in the D2D work you are going to them with something they may not be interested in. -

I find it amusing when people talk about this approved motels. In this country it's un-heard of. In fact it wasn't until I came on here that I heard of it.
