  just spent a small fortune because my front lawn got burnt up.

  I've also seen people put grass clippings from a good part of the lawn onto the seeded area...gives it both cover from the birds, and mulch....keep moist. I'd stay away from chemicals I think...though a LITTLE well mixed miracle grow wouldn't be too bad.

  This rich Vatican you talk about...has only operated in the black for about 8 years or so. Much of it's "wealth" is in art.

  As to the Arch Diocese being part of the vatican, that just isn't so...each Diocese is an independent church. The Vatican has ZERO control of it's finances...almost no control of it's personnel.

  There is also something fundamentally wrong with suing someone who is dead and therefore can't defend himself, or am I missing something.

  WOOO WOOOO here comes the money train...all the dollars in the world won't fix the damage done. I see lawyers getting rich, churches going broke, but I don't see people healing.

  My Weekend

  i spent the weekend with my formerly jw neice (from the wife's side of the family) my wife's brother, who lives in central florida, was the whole reason the family became jw's...before that they were happily cultural catholics...anyhow...this is the guy who berated my wife when she left her ex husband because he hit her...and who had the nerve to call germany and "forgive" my wife for marrying me...freakin a$$hole...he's the one who spent my other neices inheritance (he was the trustee).

  well, mr jw himself ran off last weekend with another woman...left his wife and home for some (apparently) quite ugly gal...what a jerk off pretentious a--hole.

  he's also a child molestor.. .

  Elder arrested for beating daughter

  elder david nesler was arrested in jackson california for striking his teen-age daughter (also a jw) in front of a high school.

  he is currently released and an active jw member who is allowed to participate in meetings, although his status as an elder is unknown.. this was not alleged to be sexual abuse, but it does certainly call into question the discretion of this elder.

  if this is what he does in public...?.

  The skirt is a bit out of date, but you can still see that dress today.

  That is something I've noticed about JW's, if you have money you flaunt your wealth with clothes...more so than I've seen in other churches.

  Urban Legends (SNOPES) says:

  The photograph is a real one, and the fish pictured may actually weigh close to 140 pounds , but the picture wasn't taken at Lake Texoma (and the fish shown isn't a blue catfish). It's a photograph taken out of context from a French web site devoted to catfish angling and circulated with a fictional explanation, created a mixed bag of "real photo, inaccurate description."
