Jehovah God and Christ Jesus never shunned Satan ,in fact many scriptures show the opposite ,so why do Jehovah`s Witnesses shun their members for trivial reasons when compared to what Satan has done ?

JW Stumper Questions - List You Best Here
by pale.emperor inhi guys.
sooner or later we're going to get a jw knocking on our door.
just like when we were jw's doing the knocking, it's good to have a question prepared to get them thinking about their own beliefs.

Care packages from "The Branch"
by DwainBowman ini'm sorry, i didn't see that someone had already posted about this!!.
i just love the special relief packages that are being provided by "the branch" it's such a "loving provision".
funny how they leave out that it's not costing them a dime, but is being given to them, to pass out!.

- The distributors and wholesalers will then provide a pre-approved box of fresh produce, dairy, and meat products to food banks, community and faith based organizations, and other non-profits serving Americans in need.
On top of these targeted programs USDA will utilize other available funding sources to purchase and distribute food to those in need.
Lets give credit where credits due and its not to the WTB&TS

Using gods name
by Gorbatchov ini've never thought about it before, but isn't it some sort of blasphemy and extremism to use a god's name in the official name of your religion?.

Christians were supposed to be Witnesses For Jesus.......... says so some 20 times plus in the New Testament...witness of Jehovah is mentioned once in the Old Testament .
Amen to that : And if someone says yes, but the name Jesus means Jehovah saves or some such thing, that does not excuse you for substituting Jesus name for Jehovah.
The New Testament is clear.Christians ,followers of Jesus are to be witnesses for Jesus and not Jehovah.

Another Unnecessary Early Death
by Slidin Fast ina young man in somerset in england, under massive pressure from financial and relationship issues lapsed into mental illness.
he was unlucky enough to have as his support system the local congregation of jehovah's witnesses.
one of the symptoms of his illness was the use of tobacco.

The "Old Testament " was a number of books written by Jews .The first century Christians and writers were mainly Jews.
So if anybody should have a better understanding about how Jews thought about those writings it should be the Jewish people and not Gentiles who bastardize the texts with their Christianity / Christology .

Did You Have Good Relationships With The Elders?
by minimus inmy experience was that most jws wanted to have an elder “friend” just in case they got into any “trouble “.kinda like knowing that certain cop who might get you out of a jam.
.
of course there was another group who did everything they could to either kiss the elders’ ass or stonewall them anytime they came snooping around.. how did you and the “older men” get along?.

The first 10 years I was in as a convert I was involved in 5 congregations and didn`t have much to do with elders / PO`s as thy were then called .Though a couple of them were sincere nice guys as I remember.
The next 22 years I was involved with 3 congregations all in the same area and socialised with a number of elders and MS who were an easy going lot.Very laid back where we used to go to restaurants after meetings , go camping on long weekends or longer.,
and a few of us hob-nobbed at each others house for meals either playing scrabble or watching football where there was always plenty of alcohol to go around. But always in moderation .
.Many were self employed in the building game as either plasterers, tilers, painters, builders, etc, and a couple of us were employed full time ,one elder a salesman and me a lab technician with an oil company.
It was really a nice social club my wife and I were in.
Of course their were also other elders who were older and not in the same clique as us,one being a real nut case.
So I would consider myself one of the lucky ones considering what many of you had to put up with in your congregations.

Babylon has fallen...
by mikeflood incould you guys believe this über borg 'friend' ?.
he says that babylon has fallen because all of the coronavirus restrictions (and the resultant less revenue) are gonna destroy them symbolically.
so he thinks this are the last, of the last, of the last days.

With all of those admissions of failed "expectations" of prophecy at a convention its mind boggling why any of them stayed in the religion.
And not once was there ever an apology given for misleading so many over so many decades.
Yet it was still highlighted as spiritual encouragement ?

My letter of disassociation, what do you think?
by James Jack indear brothers, july 27, 2020. in 1919, the president of the watchtower society made a bold prediction, “millions now living will never die”.
that quotation was constantly repeated by the organization till the year 2000 when they realized that everyone in attendance at that assembly, who listened to j.r. rutherford repeat those words, are dead.. that teaching has guided my life.
statements were repeatedly made at assemblies, conventions and in print that there was no career in “this system of things” so you don’t need a job with benefits or retirement, your fulltime job is to “preach the good news”!

Well said JJ ,I myself DA`d some years ago in fact many years after I had just left along with my wife many, many, years previously. To me it was a statement that I had DF`d the religious organization .I dont buy into the thought that your playing into there hands at all and that they have power over you ,I think its the other way round.
Everyone who DA themselves is a statement that they are not getting anymore support from you financially or otherwise .And that must hurt ,their pockets at least.
My wife never DA herself and nobody and I mean nobody has ever tried to contact her to come back to Jehovah or the congregation meetings and its been 27 years now.
And I have no doubt they know about us because we had a niece who was active while living here but since moved away .
Oh, and in the mid 70`s we actually lived here ourselves for a year and were a part of the then congregation .
Good luck to you and your wife buddy
take care.
