  My Girlfriend’s Beautiful Scottish Terrier Died Yesterday 😥

  mia was almost 8 and she was the sweetest dog who was my girlfriend’s constant companion.

  she had a wonderful disposition and was just a source of joy to everyone who would meet her.. she was brought to the vet on thursday and seemed to have digestive issues.

  the vet gave her medicine and said it would make her sleepy.

  Here in Australia I believe "not for profit organizations / charities " can apply for Govt. assistance .I would hate to think that the JW/WT religion applies and gets it ?

  But knowing what leeches and parasites they are I`m sure they will put their hand out.

  Remember the Revelation book?

  i recall when it was released ,that's when i was a drone, how excited i felt at the prospect of reading it and formulating ways to sell it at the homes in my area.. i thought, finally a book to explain the last book in the bible and indeed one that the churches seemed to want to leave alone!.

  i sold quite a few probably because of my enthusiasm and can still remember clearly the first day when i went knocking on doors with it ,and it's been decades since.. but over time it lost it's shine and my mind started to question the explanations in it due to the scene of other things being changed in the jw beliefs.. do you remember they flogged that book so many times in the book studies even when it was found to have "newer light " eclipsing it!.

  who else remembers the printed pages with the official corrections to insert into the book ,so many that the book collapsed to be of no relevance anymore really.....what an embarrassment!.

  stan ,the thick red one was "Babylon The Great has Fallen" ,the Revelation book was the large book similar in size to the "Paradise Lost " book .

  The explanation of the 7 trumpets being conventions in the 1920's was one of the nails in the coffin for me with that explanation .I just could not accept that one bit, and I thought it was very presumptuous of them to claim that.

  And it still took me years to ditch the religion altogether. And eventually ditch all religion and the Bible.

  today’s watchtower article was the ultimate cya.

  for friggin’ decades all we heard was that as armageddon gets nearer and nearer, the number of the ‘great crowd’ will increase and the number of the “little flock” will decrease!

  in fact, it was one of the proofs that the end was near!.

  For many of us who can`t stomach the thought of going onto JW.Org to see these articles can someone put the said article on here ? pretty please ?

  Reading between the lines the GB must be expecting a far greater number to partake of the bread & wine this year.?

  You would think they would stop reporting the numbers now as its getting embarrassing to see the numbers increasing so much when for decades they were predicting the opposite should be happening.

  I used to be always looking out for those numbers way back when I was in.

  You would think that this alone would wake people up ?

  it has nothing to do about feeling chosen or ruling in heaven, but rather many feel it's a command for all christians, that by partaking you are accepting christ as their saviour!

  I had to read your OP a couple of times before it dawned on me you were asking about Christians in general and not the JW`s.

  Not your fault I`m getting a bit slow and ditherey in my old age.And its very true what you say.

  Christendoms members partake for the reasons you stated ("Accepting Christ as their saviour" )

  JW members partake thinking they are going to rule with JC over all of the earth. ( All about power and Ego )

  I think we have all seen JW`s brown nose those who they considered WT Celebs .in our local circuits ,whether they were popular speakers or CO`s or DO`s ,idol worship was not uncommon among congregations.

  I`m sorry, I started to watch the Aussie version but after a minute or so I thought what am I doing ? and shut it down.

  I thought, do I really have to download it to watch it ? That just went against my grain.I did it and regretted doing it.

  I`m way past all of that crap.

  I come on here to hopefully support fellow ex JW`s ,offer my 2 cents worth and hopefully help a lurker or newbie to wake up TTTATT .

  Where in the world did they ever get the idea that they are Bible students is beyond me.

  Have You Isolated Yourself Because of the Virus 🦠?

  some people i know have not gone out of their houses in weeks.

  some will walk near their homes and run right back in.

  meanwhile, i go food shopping and i see tons of people, many with masks and gloves on..

  Too damn right we have .Especially at our age we cant take this virus lightly .I sit on the front porch or the back deck and watch the world go by either with a beer in hand or a glass of wine in hand depending on what time in the A/noon I`m sitting there.

  A greeting and a wave every now and then just to try and keep some sense of normality and being interactive with folks as much as possible as they walk their dogs etc.

  And of course keeping in touch over the phone with close friends when possible .

  Only going out for whats needed ,such as booze # 1 priority and food & toilet paper in that order .

  Take care and stay safe all you lot ,it will pass ,eventually and hopefully we are all still here.
