hello all interested persons,.

whilst driving to work this morning listening to the radio, my ears pricked when the presenter began talking about jws.

it was on a programme which airs between 8.00 and 8.30 entitled am, and broadcast on the abc national radio.

It wouldn't be beneath them to just let the local congregations in Australia fend for themselves.

I remember when I first heard about this I just could not believe it ? when i was newly associated with these forums ?

I thought ,now they have gone too far making these claims , the ex JW`s that is.

, There is no way the JW`s would have been involved in any way with the UN organization , I remembered quite clearly the WT /JW saying that the United Nations was the counterfeit kingdom of God presented to the people of the world .

How wrong was I ,it has been indisputably proven beyond any reasonable doubt the proof of the matter .

Not only by the U.N. but also by the admission with a lame excuse by the WTB&TS itself.

how do believers explain these away?

jehovah's witnesses say that humans die and suffer due to the original sin, but what do volcano's and tsunamis have to do with it?

OTWO ,those answers may have satisfied a JW giving them ,but I don`t believe it would have satisfied anyone else, certainly not me.

When I was a practicing JW ,I would have said that in a perfect world under God`s Paradise such events would never occur .

Just as Jesus proved he was master over nature ,Jehovah God would surely be able to do so.

now it's "false regligion" fighting for their constitutional right to meet together while the jws seem to be perefectly happy zooming their lives away..

Other Televangelist religions seem to be coping money-wise so I dont see why JW religion would not do so also.

If it morphed into just a TV religion, they could still sell their merchandise and receive donations ,maybe they may not be as big as they are now ,but they could still carry on and reap the benefits of selling all of their property worldwide ,that would be in the billions of $$$$$

When the "Writing Is On The Wall" you need to take heed of it and make the best of it.

how do spouse's treat their partners if they leave the cult?

so i was fortunate enough to have a wife that listened and saw what i was saying was true and that the cult is bs.

but i wonder how bad it is in a relationship that one goes out of the cult and the other stays in.

i can see that being a real issue for a marriage.

My wife and 2 boys managed to leave within a few years of each other due to various circumstances.

As did a couple of others in the extended family.

Out of about 8 only one niece is still in it.

And not being Judgeable ,but both her teenage boys seem to be a bit effeminate ,so I will just wait and see what develops on that front.

I will be there to support them if it ever came to that and they needed me.

We were one of the lucky ones.

Profits ,Not For Profit ,and Prophecy ( Profitcy )

i cant get my head around how a religion ,like the jehovah`s witnesses can be a not for profit organization ,that profits $ from wheeling and dealing in real estate ventures $ ,and also profits from being a multi media publishing company $ that in its heyday profited from volunteers selling their literature and now its venturing into the digital age of tv imaging ,video conferencing ,dvd`s and whatever else they can use.$$$.

making $$$ profits from all of these activities while still claiming to be a not for profit religion reaping in the $$$ profits selling prophecy (profitsy $$$).

it`s about time governments woke up to this charade ..

what happened to petra was not the fault of mark o'donnell, listener, corney, mike and kim, or anyone else.. constant rejection and shunning even at an early age, the depression was storing up inside of her.

she was shunned inside the hall and outside the hall.

I am so very sorry that Petra is going through this obviously a loving young lady doing a selfless task in providing those documents .I do hope all of these messages of support help to cheer her up a bit .

And I loved her pics ,such beautiful long hair.

Why stop at tsunamis and volcanoes ,what about cyclones/,hurricanes , earthquakes ,bushfire`s , wildfires ,floods ,tornadoes ,viruses ,plagues ,pandemics, venomous animals and insects etc,etc. Have i left anything out ?

Oh but he is a loving God.

Satan has never been responsible for any of these things .And he is not a creator .

Oh but all of these things came into existence after Adam and Eve sinned ? ,that`s not in the Bible ,and these things had to be caused by God being the creator and no one else .

"extremism" -- What specifically did Russia ban Jehovah's Witnesses for?

russia's reason for banning jehovah's witnesses is said to be due to extremism.

but what exactly does that mean, or refer to?

specifically, what practice (or practices) of jehovah's witnesses does russia consider to be extreme?

I think the fact JW had noted that the then USSR now Russia was the King of the North in Bible prophecy and was going to be destroyed in the battle of Armageddon would have had something to do with there decision to ban them.

And that was widely distributed in their magazines throughout Russia and her territories.

And that it is an American based sect that sends all money collected back to America would be another factor .

I would also add # 1-5 of your list also having something to do with the ban.

What positive value does any JW have to any country ? when you include # 6-10 ?
