Dutch judge rules that elders are not entitled to hide behind clergy-penitent privilege
by Anders Andersen intoday a dutch judge ruled that jw elders and the jw branch cannot invoke clergy-penitent privilege when it comes to information used in a judicial committee.. jw had filed a complaint with the courts because the branch office, two kingdom halls and a few elders' homes were raided by police almost 2 years ago in search of evidence related to child abuse issues.. jw argued that the information that was taken by police is protected by clergy-penitent privilege.
today the judge ruled that 1) an organization doesn't haven't such a privilege, 2) jw elders don't always act as spiritual counselors.
their actions as judges in judicial committees aren't protected by privilege, and 3) conversations jw have with their elders are often not confidential at all (as per jw policy) so jw elders can't rightfully invoke clergy-penitent privilege to maintain absolute confidentiality, because there isn't absolute confidentiality in the first place.. jw are thinking about appealing the verdict..

I wish more judges would come to the same conclusions as he/she spoke the truth.

have you heard anything ?
by lancelink ini was a witness from grade school ( 1976) until 2007. i seem to remember an important aspect that was always talked about at the hall as being a fact.they would say that "the rocks themselves would cry out" if the public preaching work was to stop,,,,, all i've seen and heard these past few months are the witnesses complaining about the witnessing work coming to a halt.but i've not heard one rock crying .. .

I thought this would be "obvious", but apparently ...
by Simon inif you want to share a conspiracy video that is going to be removed by youtube, maybe sharing a link to a copy that is hosted on youtube isn't the best plan.. who knew?!.
social media is no longer the platform to use for controversial, alternative or "wrong think" opinions.. host it if you feel strongly about it, but don't keep posting "this video has been removed" links, it's a waste of everyone's time..

RubaDub ,
It`s probably like the same reason why people of the world travel to Jerusalem and Mecca isn`t it ?
A good money spinner for tourism and the economy ? As well as helping the religion along keeping the hamster wheel in motion.?

A very interesting article lost, i do wish all of the best for her and her children especially Ashya king that no child should have to suffer with.
But apparently God has no problem sitting back on his throne watching the never ending suffering of young and old of his creation through the Centuries .

Jehovah / Yahweh the God of the Bible loves to drag things out doesn`t he /she ? Not only would you have to suffer more of the same these past 140 years but it will stretch out for another one thousand years of even more rules and regulations of fear ,obligation and guilt put upon you ,if the members of the G.B. are to go by .
But even after all of that ( the next thousand years ) Jehovah / Yahweh is still not satisfied with humans ,he decides to let his old buddy Satan out of his prison to stir up and cause more trouble for humans .Rev.20 : 7-9
At the end of the thousand year reign another war breaks out against Gog and Magog that Jehovah has let develop during this thousand year reign and the number of them is as the sand of the sea.? Some paradise to look forward to eh?
And apparently humans who number the sands of the sea are again going to be destroyed .
I think I`ll give it a pass ,thank you.

Australian Pollies seem driven to call out failure of signing up to redress scheme
by jonahstourguide innoticed this on abc news again re the redress scheme here in australia.. i thought it notable that jws were specifically mentioned and that the government is aware of jw tactics.. bolding is mine.. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-05-08/states-territories-urged-beef-up-name-and-shame-abuse-scheme/12226250.
states and territories urged to go far beyond name and shame threat against 'recalcitrant' institutions in abuse redress schemeby political reporter matthew doranposted 7hhours agodean smith stands at his desk in the senate, gesturing while speaking into a microphoneliberal senator dean smith said victims of child abuse deserved more than just a threat to name and shame institutions.
(abc news: jed cooper)sharestates and territories are being urged to not only shame institutions which refuse to sign up to the national redress scheme for victims of child abuse, but also name senior officials and the levels of public funding the organisations receive.key points:a federal parliamentary committee has recommended institutions which fail to sign up to the national redress scheme for abuse victims be named, their officials identified, and public funding outlinedcommittee chair dean smith has written to the states and territories urging them to adopt the proposalsocial services minister anne ruston said all jurisdictions would need to agree if such a proposal were adoptedlast week, a federal parliamentary committee made up of liberal, national, labor and greens members unanimously recommended identifying "recalcitrant" organisations ahead of the june 30 deadline.this week, the committee chair, liberal senator dean smith, wrote to state and territory attorneys-general escalating that demand and encouraging them to adopt the proposal.institutions have until the end of june to sign up to the multi-billion-dollar scheme, aimed at compensating victims of child sexual abuse, before the federal government publicly names them for holding out.so far, 545 applications for redress have been delayed because 284 non-government organisations are yet to join the scheme.senator smith suggested it was not enough to simply name the holdouts, and argued the committee wanted explanations on why they were not signing up, names of office holders in the institutions, what date they expected to join the scheme and the financial benefits received through public funding or their charitable status.

What`s with this campaign in November about witnessing to politicians and business people ?
Can someone provide a link ?
I do hope Australian Pollie`s stand shoulder to shoulder in calling out and naming and shaming those who don`t sign up to the redress scheme and that religions lose their tax free status as well as their charitable status if they fail to do so.
Maybe its just wishful thinking and too much to ask for
.Politicians do have religious beliefs also don`t they and that may sway some of them not to support the proposal.
We will just have to wait and see.

The Motive of the Governing Body
by jwfacts ini have been quiet of late, developing other interests, happy that there are a whole group of people producing great resources.
however, i found some old emails from ray franz that promoted me to write an article that answers a question i regularly receive.
it is in regards to the motive of governing body members.

Geoff Jackson responded to questions with scorn, belittling the right to be questioned about doctrine by a secular body, and providing answers that ranged from evasive to outrightly disohonest, such as when discussing Corporal Punishment.
Can we expand on these please ? I would love someone more capable than I to do so .
