UK Charity Status
by Celtic inif you were to check out www.charity-commission.gov.uk.
you would find if you typed in ibsa the following registration number would show: 216647. as far as we know, for we are now awaiting a response, it is illegal all over the country for charities to solicit from door to door unless they have a full identity card, something which the wtbts has flouted law on for many years.. in view of current events, surely they must be able to see the wisdom of such an approach.
i mean its not exactly unreasonable when you really think about it, what the state is asking them to do.

UN vs WT -It doesn't matter
by Dan B indoes anybody honestly think that all this exposure about the wtb&ts and the un really going to matter much in the jw community?
sure, it matters to us, since we already know the truth about the wt.
but it won't even make a dent in the jw population.

Is the Path to Salvation Clear?
by JosephAlward ininerrantists believe that every word in the bible is literally true; to believe otherwise, they say, is to remove the foundation upon which one may have a certain understanding of how one may achieve salvation and reach the kingdom of heaven.
that makes perfect sense, on one level.
if one could indeed know that everything in the bible is true, then one would just have to turn to the part where the method of salvation is described, do what the bible says, and live forever.

A New Breed Of JW Emerging?
by Englishman inis there a new breed of jw emerging, i wonder?.
i know that there are lots of real brainwashed dubs around who see demons behind every car boot sale item and who scuttle off to the elders with every bit of tittle-tattle imaginable, but, i think that there is a new type of dub who quietly does just as he / she pleases.. this is what i think: many of the long-serving jw's who have seen the 1975 failure and the 1914 generation change are now approaching old age with something of a jaundiced eye, and are choosing to do their own thing in their remaining years.
in conversations i am picking up it seems that the elders are being regarded somewhat derisively by many jw's.
