take this test for yourself.
don't peek but begin the test as you scroll down and answer.
answers are for who you are now ... not who you were in the past.
And my score is 45. I'm happy with that.

"life on mars" mmm i wonder what jws would say on the matter, maybe adam and eve visited mars( just joking).anyway what do you think, will they find life on mars.
I believe it's reasonable to conclude that some type of life "once existed" on Mars.
Perhaps it is the destiny of this earth to suffer a similar fate, as with other objects that fly around in space. We are really not so far from the sun, and we seem to be in the path of some very big asteroids. There is a pattern to everything...we just haven't been here long enough to see it.
Planets are born, and planets die. It is the universal law.
I just hope our creators come back for us in time...and we have enough sense to go with them when they arrive.

ray franz wrote, "i was baptized a jehovah's witness in 1972 (three years before armageddon came) and served as an elder for a good number of years.
all i can say is put franz book to the test for yourself.
1)he is making money off a dumb idea.. 2)he was expecting 1975 to be armageddon.
And the proof, ladies and gentlemen, is right here.
By his own admission, "bleep" has read "THE book". (oh, no....)

the wts likes to put the "c in a circle" symbol on everything they publish.. but why should god's "inspired" writings have to be protected that way?.
to protect it against illegal copying?he and the wts should be pleased .
that his works are copied even more because is that not what he wants?.
Good question.
Maybe they just want to take sole responsibility for all their mistakes. (shaking head in doubt.)

Motema,
Hummmmmm.....I thought it a bit odd that you chose to start a thread with the exact same title as mine. Why didn't you just post your thoughts and web site on my existing thread, where everything would be linked together?
Just wondering. I will have to check out the site you refer to.

please don't be turned off because this is rather creepy and has "reference" only to the occult.
because the information was found on a website that i got from a post on this forum.
i was curious.
I woke up this morning to check to see if there were some replys to my thread. I was so glad to see all these posts. Thank you, everyone for your thoughts! I hope there will be more coming.
Personally, I do believe in subliminal messages. Some folks do and some don't. It is widely used in department stores in the underlying tones of the music. Why not? Apparently, it has been proven to work with shoppers. It also works in tapes and CD's that have suggestive language inmeshed in the music to help people with addictive natures.
And, it seems to me that the JW's have changed to such a large extent in their methods of control, that perhaps paranoia in the main offices, has progressed to using these techniques. But, why use symbols of the occult? Why is a very good question. A valid question. This puts the WTBTS in a whole different "light" to me, and I know they don't teach truth anyway.
It would seem to me that ANY PORTRAYAL OF THE OCCULT IMAGERY IN ANY, EVEN IF ONLY ONE PROVEN AREA, IS TOO MANY FOR ME.
Thanks to everyone.

on reading the september issues of watchtower and awake, i had a good laugh at the hypocrisy that leaped out at me.awake sept 8th 2002 :"to believe that numerological interpretations are accurate, when they are based upon such widely variable factors as calendar and language, is to stretch the limits of credibility to an absurd degree.".
considering the amount of ridiculous number crunching done by the society, how amazing that they print that statement!
if i remember rightly 607 date is based on an interpretation of calendar dates and the 'language' of the bible (which they always manage to skew to their doctrine).
Hi Sirona,
I really enjoyed your post. Great points.
I mean REALLY, doesn't anyone in the borg "review" the material before it goes to print, or are there so many "lightbulbs" going off as to "new light", that it's anything goes!
Since my mom absolutely believes everything they print, as do many others, no wonder the incidents of migraines is increasing!
Makes my stinger come out.

lately, i notice quite a few comments of disillusionment.
some say they are no longer religious.
others say they are not sure if god really exists.others are trying to come to terms with life outside of the watchtower.
The answer to the specific question would have to be NO. In the first place, if my name was Yahweh and somebody changed it to Jehovah, I wouldn't like it. Maybe that's why the god of JW's is such an angry god.
I really don't know Yahweh, only as he has been portrayed by men in writing. To me he does things that are very human, but with a higher level of power, control, and a lot of manipulation. (like murder, incest, abuse, associating with evil, rape, plunder--for just a few. And he changes his rules to suit the situation.)
I tried very hard to get to know, love, trust, obey--to feel close to the god of JW's, but always felt like he was punnishing me, or playing with my head and heart. Teasing me, tempting me, judging me. I think whomever "he" turns out to be, he will have to explain his behavior to creators even higher, and will require some real sound justifications for the way he has played with humankind over the centuries, other than "it seemed like a fun way to pass time, , toying with creation, while fliting about the universe".
That's what I think.

if i was to meet some of you ladies for the first time, i might be tempted to buy you a bunch of flowers, what spray tickles your fancy the most?
i know for englishmans missus, her ladyship, her bunch of flowers would include freshias.
please give me some advice on the appropriate action i should take if i met you for the first time.
I would appreciate a bunch of lovely wildflowers, any variety, very colorful, at our first greeting.
If it's a special occasion, there are some roses, the lovely shade of pink salmon, that would do nicely. Yellow roses are nice too.
If I was receiving flowers at work, carnations of any color are nice, as they last a very long time.
But right now, flowers are not too good for me, because I have my summer allergies and I am sneezing and blowing, despite having taken my medication.
