Christadelphian
by Billy1000 inmy name is stephen and i am new to the forum.
i am a christadelphian and through my discussions with fellow members of my ecclesia it has inspired me to reach out to other religions to find out exactly what others believe to enhance my own faith and further bring me closer to our heavenly father.
in no way do i mean disrespect if it has been caused.

There is no medicine known to mankind that will dull the senses sufficiently enough to endure the agony of listening to the waffle.Sorry l cant be of help. However a swift hit over the head with 4 by 2 piece of wood may help temporarily. -

What's a word that describes the way Witnesses behave as a group?
by paul from cleveland ini can't recall the word that describes a group that keeps to itself like the witnesses do.
i thought it was "insular" but i don't think that's the one i'm looking for after reading the definition.
i remember an elder using the word "clannish" and that has the proper definition but it reminds me of a group of elves.

Brandnew did you ask your pop what he really thought of the elders rocking up on his door step asking for $$$?Might be a good opportunity for him to express himself and get everything off his chest and you might find out what hes really thinking. -

WT should admit that 1914
by bobld inwas a man made date when jesus came and that a generation is not 102 plus years.. why not say something like this.when the disciples asked jesus for a sign and the end of the age.jesus gave them a composite sign and said all these things will take place.when-before the people now living(at the end of the age which no one knows)have all died..

The bottom line is noone really knows if and when armageddon if there is such a thing might come. All through the ages there has been talk of an armageddon.WT have proven beyond any shadow of a doubt THEY SIMPLY DONT KNOW WHAT they are talking about.

The Forgotten Ones
by ToesUp injust curious...is anyone hearing the older/infirm ones speaking out to others on how they are being treated in the congregation?
without giving anything away, i have spoken to so many older ones (some are sickly or can't drive in the evening or can't drive at all) who can't make it to all the meetings, assemblies, etc., that are complaining on how they are being treated by the more righteous ones in the hall.
the ones i have spoken to make the comment that it seems to be the younger elders that have less empathy and concern for these ones.

lts a sign of the times we live in.Whether or not your a jw l have noticed a deteriation in peoples demeanor. The oldies seem far more patient and giving and have morals and intestinal fortitude unlike the youngins of today.l think with many elders its a status thing. Most of em walk around with a carrot shoved up their bums havent you noticed the way they walk.

My cat died suddenly!
by Fisherman ini did not realize that they were symptoms that something was wrong with my cat -but i did notice that my cat was breathing a little differently for a period of about a few days.
i also noticed prior and after to that, that on occasion, my cat would cry at the litter box, but that was a very seldom event.. anyway, about a week ago i noticed the symptom that my very loved cat was breathing heavy.
so i called a taxi and i was going to rush him to emergency room for cats.

Is a piano inevitable?
by slimboyfat ini was at a concert last night and the presence and stature of the piano struck me.
and i thought: if the piano wasn't invented when it was, would it have been invented by someone else instead?
or if there was a world the same as our, except with a different history, would it have pianos now too or would it be modern world, similar in many respects, only without pianos?
