  So what happens next...

  with what is arguably the biggest change to jw life in recent decades (the scrapping of publishers counting hours) what does this lead to?.

  in my mind these are the results;.

  1) a massive decrease in 'preaching hours'.

  • The model requiring constant growth is now in danger, this organisation was constantly growing in every way for over a century and seems to have peaked. For the last decade or more that constant reductions in staff and product output, liquidation of assets, legal troubles, and dwindling sources of income.

    I can’t find the true global numbers of pioneers, publishers ect, but I would love to see some charts showing the last 100yesrs. I suspect they would show a peak and now way over the peak and now big decline.

    I would love to see charts of Bethel family numbers last 100 years, they would show a peak spike up then rapid decline like the bubble popped. This is going to be similar with the organisation as a whole,

    Even with reduced hours there are less pioneers. Japan is holding up the numbers because almost everyone pioneers.

    Going forward not so many younger ones will be getting baptised and hardly any will be pioneering compared to before the peak. This is why they are trying to hide the numbers

  Why disfellowship must be eliminated for the survival of the WT itself

  this topic i digress about why the watchtower relaxing the rules of disfellowship is essential for its survival.

  many things i'm going to say are not my ideas, some are, the point is, i'm condensing everything in a logical and concise way.. the first thing we have to keep in mind is that the wt's main objective in instituting disfellowship has always been not to lose members because of the damage that a dissident could do, or to avoid gaining new members because of the bad reputation of a confessed sinner in the his/her region.

  in the end, the more active members, the more money to the coffers.. in this case of disfellowship due to apostasy, to avoid any spark, texts were sought out of context that even prohibited saying "hi".

  I worked on Bristol Assembly Hall back in the 1990s Brother Kieth Dyer was the big overseer at the time. Does anyone remember him?

  There is no doubt whatever that the generation from 1914 has now passed away. The overlapping new light is so ridiculous it’s funny. But even the overlappers are getting old and will pass away soon.

  Im going to be sitting on my lawn chair watching with baited breath the slow demise of this organisation.

  Its remarkable that it has lasted this long.

  That does sound familiar about the governing body under attack.

  Does anyone remember him talking about Tony criticising other members for flying around the world on holidays when there is so much work to be done?

  I also remember Tony telling us about him talking to his unbelieving father before he died, his dad was asking about JWs and what ‘they’ are doing with the money from the sale of all this property. Tony said I’m part of the ‘they’ and the audience laughed

  lots remember him talking about burnt bodies like hot dogs in war, he may have PTSD. The Gerard Loach saying after Armageddon there will be a lot of bodies to clear up. Yes over 8.5 Billion bodies the entire world would be like the Gaza Strip if JWs are correct.

  When you see them with their wives it’s very discouraging how young they are.

  We were discouraged when the last lot of GB members were added at Tony Morris time.

  We were taught these would be the last ones and they are getting old so not much longer left now

  i'm looking for an explanation why the gb has made a radical change on the issue of vaccinations.

  was there pressure from outside?

  were there any financial or other benefits to promoting experimental genetic therapy?.

  It’s as clear as day, the GB are not Jehovah’s spokesmen on Earth. Follow directions from the GB is not safe. From now on more and more JWs will question the direction to be fully vaccinated as these vaccines are not safe as Steve Lett said they were. He said “this information is from our brothers!” Yes that is true Steven Lett but it’s not from Jehovah if he even exists.

  I suspect there are still lots of older ones donating their pensions but not many younger ones will. It doesn’t look good for the future. A combination of cost of living crisis and younger ones don’t believe the lies passed down.

  BETHELITES - Whatever Became of?

  i often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.

  while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).

  a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.
