William, you cheated on your wife you you feel you are wrongly looked at as a "pig dog". Well, in that other thread where I stated that you didn't seem like a jerk...I take that back.

There were other things you could have done instead of betray her trust and cheat on her, just because your little will wasn't getting satisfied. *sigh* I dunno...communication works, hell, maybe even breaking up with her would have been the better thing to do...but cheating, then blaming it on her, and being offended when people think you're a jerk is a little backwards.

Weren't you going on and on in the nice guys thread about how well you treat women, but you are just "honest"? please...

Can Men & Women Just be Friends?

The idea that men and women can not be friends with eachother completely ignores the lesbian/gay bisexual dynamics.

The assumptions are made that men and women can never control themselves, and that they are always attracted to the opposite sex, and that there are always sexual feelings going on (in addition to them not being controlled).

Being bisexual myself, I am offended that one would think that men and women can not be "just" friends. Then...who am I supposed to be friends with? Because essentially, anyone is potential mate for me. But that is not true. I have so many friends, men and women, who I think are really good looking, physically, but I never thought of them "in that way".

My S/O still has some jelously issues that he needs to deal with when it comes to my male (and sometimes female) friends, but I have absolutely no problems with his female friends. In fact, I am so longing for female friendships, that I pretty much trust him and them blindly...not that I have a reason to not trust him or them.

but how about persons of mixed parentage, are they considered to be black too?.

how about my son's old girl friend whose grandmother was from the phillipines, is she black because her skin had a slight (and very beautiful) brownish glow that came from her ancestor?.

my grammy had a nervous breakdown

my fathers mother, my grammy...had a nervous breakdown recently.. she is a witness, although been inactive.

well aparently, from what my witness mom says, she went to a funeral in a catholic church and the guilt was too much for her.

and also "hanging around your aunt terry" - the disfellowshipped one.. so guys, now disfellowshipped people and catholic churches cause nervous breakdowns.. she couldn't even see that its this unbareable guilt that the publishing company force on the people that caused the nervous breakdown.

I would visit...but she lives several states away, and classes start back up in a couple days in addition to a new full time job that can not be passed up. I probably sound selfish but I don't know. I will have to try next weekend and call her in the mean time...I do not even know how to get to her house. Also, all the JW family has been visiting her and I am not sure I can handle being around them. grr

William, if what you wrote about yourself is true, I would not consider you the a**hole type (I will censor myself for you).

Honesty does not make you a jerk. If I looked bad in pants, then tell me, its cool. I like an honest guy, and I like a guy with confidence, and I like NICE GUYS! I am sorta a bleeding heart myself, so I go for that type...but key here, is confidence.

Some people confuse confidence with being a jerk. Same with women, people confuse their confidence with being a bitch. Its too bad.
