Can we help Utopian Reformist?
by acsot inwith all the tragedy ur's been through, i was wondering if we could pull together and help him out a bit, sort of like what was done for vicki boer some time ago.
i am hoping to send him a "christmas gift" of a bit of money, by way of international money order and if others could do so also then maybe he'll have a few pleasant memories for this season.
his address is on his post where he updates us with what's been happening.. of course, i could be way behind on this and many of you may have already sent him something, but i was just thinking that a group effort would lift his spirits a tiny bit.. thoughts?

Vicki Boer on Canada AM this morning - NOT about sexual abuse
by acsot incanada am is doing a cross-country set of interviews about what political issues are on everyone's mind these days, considering the election coming up at the end of the month.
this morning seamus o'regan was in fredericton interviewing military families and what they're hopes/expectations were for a political party and whether military spending, health care or other issues were top priorities for them.. vicki's husband is in the military but fortunately is not overseas now.
she was there with the kids and one other family and seamus was asking about health care for military families.

My 1,000th post!!!!! Youppieee!!!!
by acsot inas i mentioned last night at our mini-apostafest supper, my posting rate is like my car mileage - i've had the car 4 years and don't even have 30,000 kilometres on it yet.. now i have 1,000 posts and it took ages to get here!
i don't know how some of you do it, i mean, 10,000 posts is like trying to reach the end of the universe without warp speed!.

Rwanda, Neutrality and Muslims - what about the dubs?
by acsot inwe have all read in the wts publications about how neutral the dubs were during the hutu/tutsi massacre.
i have no doubt that the majority of dubs remained neutral.
however, it is interesting to read how other major religions also helped each other out, as well as took risks to protect their neighbours.

Did you ever go back to the Kingdom Hall ..
by acsot infaking interest so as to gather material for a research paper?
i'm in the position now of pretty well being able to plan exactly how i leave for good.
i'll be moving to a foreign language congregation at some point in the near future, then after awhile i'll be "selling my house" and "moving" far out of the territory i'm in now.

here is a quote from one of his books:.
"the world's major religions - especially christianity, islam, and judaism - are not merely incompatible with one another, but mutually antithetical.
