1975 - JWs in other countries, not just the U.S. also knew about the prediction
by deegee ini have been wondering, if the 1975 prediction was just a rumour started by the rank & file as the wt claims, then how did jws in other countries, a part from the u.s., also come to know about the prediction?.
i started studying with the jws during the 80s when i was a child.
while attending one of my first meetings during that time, a brother commented during the wt study that armageddon did not come in 1975 because it was not known how many years after adam, eve was created.. at the time, i hadn't a clue what the guy was talking about.

Why blame the Watchtower?
by deegee inif god has a relationship with every christian and every christian is praying to him then wouldn't he tell every christian the same thing so that christians would agree on matters of doctrine and practice?.
it is certainly puzzling why sincere and devout people equally seek god's will and pray to him yet they all come up with different answers so that there are approximately 40,000 different christian denominations (center for the study of global christianity (csgc) at gordon-conwell theological seminary).. before his death, jesus called for agreement among his followers rather than division (john 17:20-21).
he declared that he would send the holy spirit to guide persons into all the truth (john 14:16 - 17, 26, john 15:26, john 16:7,13 - 15).. so shouldn't anyone who has a relationship with jesus, reads the bible, and listens to the holy spirit come to the same conclusions as others who are doing the same thing?.

Does God communicate with humans today?
by deegee inthere seems to be confusion within christianity regarding whether or not god communicates with humans today and if he does, how does he do it?.
- does god still insert thoughts into people's minds today or is that something which he only did in the past?.
- some maintain that god is no longer giving persons dreams/visions or speaking directly to them or sending angels to speak with them today but he will nevertheless insert thoughts into their minds to guide them.

So the GB has admitted that God does not communicate with them. Is there any other religion or person that God speaks to?
by deegee inwt february 2017 par.12, p.26:.
" the governing body is neither inspired nor infallible.
therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction.

Is it the original anointed person or their clone who will be in heaven?
by deegee inthe wt teaches that there's no part of a human being that survives the death of the body.
if the anointed do not have an immortal soul/ some immaterial part of them that survives death, then whoever will be in heaven won't be the original anointed person but their clone since once a person dies, according to wt theology, they cease to exist; so god will have to create a spirit body from nothing for that person and that created body by definition will therefore not be the original person but their clone.. so it will be a person's clone that will get to live forever in heaven and rule with christ, and not the original person.............one can now see why other religions teach the doctrine of the immortality of the soul..

End of sentences appear to be cut off
by deegee inon about 2 occasions after uploading my comment, i noted that the end of sentences appear to be cut off.
this is what i see i don't know if my post also appears that way to others.. this seems to happen especially when long urls/web addresses are included in my post.. i always select the "full screen" icon from the menu at the top of the comment box in order to view my comment in full screen mode so as to make sure that all of the information is visible, yet, on uploading my comment, the end of sentences appear to be cut off.. also, in order to make sure that i have included everything i want to state, i sometimes type my comment in ms word on my laptop or in a draft e-mail on my phone then copy & paste it into the comment box.
some of these pre-typed comments have included long urls/web addresses and the end of sentences appear to be cut off in this instance as well - don't know if pre-typing my comment in a word processor and then cutting and pasting it into the thread has anything to do with the problem.. i tried to correct the situation after uploading: i used the editing feature to delete my post.

MEMORIAL - Should JWs be commemorating the memorial of Christ's death?
by deegee in1corinthians 11:25-26:“in the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “this cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” for whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the lord’s death until he comes.” (emphasis mine).
the jws teach that jesus christ returned in 1914 when his kingdom officially took power and he began active rulership toward all the world.
so the jws should have ceased commemorating the memorial of christ’s death since according to their theology, jesus returned in 1914.. http://mmoutreachinc.com/jehovahs_witnesses/1914.html.

Scientology special series by Leah Remini - wonder if any JWs have watched it and what they think?
by deegee indoes anyone know of any jws who have watched leah remini's special series on scientology currently being aired on the a&e cable channel?
the jwdom parallels are striking.. i am curious to know if any jws have watched it and what their reactions are?.
..............on second thoughts, there's some course language in the series - which has been edited - so maybe jws might not watch it.. it seems the series is best for someone who is in the phase of waking up, aware that something just isn’t right with the group.

A Stupid Prayer by Jesus
by deegee inso jesus prayed:"father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing" (luke 23:34).. how must god forgive those who put jesus to death when god required jesus' death as the only mechanism by which he would or could forgive individual humans for their sins and grant them salvation?.
1 john 1:6-8 (nkjv):"but if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of jesus christ his son cleanses us from all sin.".
romans 4:24-25 (niv):"for us who believe in him who raised jesus our lord from the dead.
