Typical of a cult to distill all human interaction down to a flow chart.

So, the Womens March ... What Is It For?
by Simon init seems like mobilizing after the election, which seems pointless.
i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?
... and the election happened already.. is anyone else confused?

Why are they Marching?
To highlight that we have a thug with an adolescent temperment for a president.
To bring attention to the fact that under his agenda, there is a very real threat that womens' reproductive rights will revert to the stone age.
To protest the fact that soon 20 million or so will lose their health insurance. Another 20 million or so will be priced out of the market.
To protest the threat of dismantling NATO.
To protest the idea that we need to spend more money to expand our military. Already bigger than the next six national militaries combined.
As for reasons, I think that is a start and well worth marching for.

TV commercial seen in the United States, from a Law firm "Asking if you were ever sexually abused by JEHOVAHS WITNESSES, please call".
by Dunedain inok, so i don't know if this is "old news", and if this has been seen, and or mentioned already.
if it was, i do apologize, but i feel i have to mention what has been seen on tv, within the past 24 hours.. first off, i would like to say that i did not personally see this commercial.
however, it was seen by someone that i can verify 100% is telling the truth, as it was my own father who saw it.

Anyone who lives in the Tri State area knows that this is an ad for the law firm of Weitz and Luxembourg.
Well known for chasing asbestos and other personal injury cases. I'd hate to be living in Warwick right now.
Even if you've ever heard of JW's they'll file a lawsuit in your behalf and let the chips fall where they may.

Not a sympathizer
by Richard Oliver ini think everyone here is under the impression that i am a watchtower sympathizer, i am not.
i just like facts and when people say things, which are their opinions but that facts point out as not being true, than that is when i get so motivated to make a comment.
i have read posts here, listened to six screens and read jwsurvey and seen things that people say, which are opinion, but pass them off as fact.. there are legitimate things that people on here and former jws have concerns over without manipulating what is said or trying to pass off opinion as a fact.

Dude, if we're talking facts it'll take you an hour just to get to the Tappan Zee from Brooklyn Heights. Just sayin....

Hi Zed, love the film reference.
Do try to change addresses as soon as you can. They may try to visit you at home.
Do not reply to any emails, texts or phone messages.
Do enjoy the rest of your life!
Remember; Hamburgers are the cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast.

Oasis Bible Tours?
by ctrwtf ini've just discovered (on instagram) this group that leads the gullible on "faith strengthening" tours of the met.. i wondered what would happen if any member of the tour group brought up that the museum has on display artifacts that clearly throw off the timeline of the story of eden and two magically appearing humans.. http://www.metmuseum.org/about-the-met/curatorial-departments/egyptian-art.
i found that once i abandoned the wits, my visits to the met became more inspiring because i began to really look at the human endeavor and spirit of the artists and what they created over tens of thousands of years.
while not particularly religious at this point in my life, i can still be awstruck by the vast collection of paintings, sculptures and jewelry that were inspired by religious belief.. i think it's incredibly sleazy that these tour operators take advantage of an institution like the met when the religion they support calls for the destruction of these works of art as well as the entire human existence that created it.

Question on the Special Order... document and its implications
by careful inseveral times on this forum posts have been made about the "order of special full-time servants" in the wts and the document that must be signed by those entering it, bethelites, cos, and so on.
the reason given for the whole thing has usually been for tax purposes, that by signing this document full-timers become exempt from taxation by belonging to this special group.
basically then, end of story.. however, there is a clause in said document stating that any money made by the full-time worker beyond the allowance given by the society has to be turned over to the society.

I know of more than a few Bethelites that actually run businesses and pay employees while there. They rationalize that as long as it doesn't interfere with their duties it's okay. That's why "G-jobbing" has always been looked at with a wink and a nod. The whole vow of poverty thing is a joke!

Rutherford knew from personal experience that religion was indeed a racket. Sheesh, what a house! I'd rather live there than in a once was a chemical dumpsite/Warwick.
