Do The Math!
by silentlambs ini just received the following email a few minutes ago, anyone care to suggest a response?.
do your math......my children are safer within the jehovah's witnesses than in any other organization......... .
if you compare the cases of child molestation and other acts with the stories of happiness and success ....the success stories will overwhelm all other negative stories........ .

C. T. Russell Must Be Rolling In His Grave
by KD inyears ago i remember reading an old book about the life of charles t. russell.
as a young man, russell was indignant with the major churches and at night used to write scornful letters and placed them on the buildings for the public to see.
he used harsh phrases such as "off spring of vipers" and "harlots".

Pros and Cons about Jehovah's Witnesses
by Leander inthe purpose of this post is to try take a close but un-biased look at whether or not jehovahs witnesses are the right religion.
in my few months of doing research about jw's outside of their own publications i've came across a wide variety of viewpoints.
some people are skeptical or unsure if the wts is really the right religion, some are certain that jw's are wrong but have no ill-feelings toward them, some individuals downright hate the organization and still others are certain that the wts is the real deal.

Why I will NEVER become a Jehovahs Witness
by kevin221 inbecause they are insane.
mabey not all of them, but the one's i've been exposed to so far have some serious mental problems.
and for the record i'm not talking about their religious beliefs, i'm basing my opinion on direct actions taken by the ones that i have had personal experience with.. thought some of you might be interested in the things that have been going on with me and jon's family.

"this site is set up to look at first appearence as a legitimit witness site.why the "front"?if users here are proud of their x-jw status,or are proud of the fact they have left the wbts organization, why isn't this site named x-jehovah witness.com ?

The three reasons we leave the "Truth"
by sleepy inseems to me there are mainly three roads most of us have taken.
1.we did something "wrong" and were disfellowshipped and after felt able to look at the society in a different light.. 2.we didn't like the "truth" and were looking for a way out.. 3.we wanted it to be the truth but were overcome by the mountain of evidence against it.. which is the most common i wonder.. also do our motives play a large part in how we deal with information criticising the org.. without a reason to act information seems useless.. for instance if a person feels he has nothing to gain by leaving the org will he read different things into the same info as us?.
i think so and that all who leave must have a reason to do so, something to gain.. this does not make their reasoning wrong or prove they we are looking for just excuse.. but is a normal way in which humans deals with information.. two humans can have the same information but if they want or desire different things they may use the information differently.. maybe thats wht so many say "where else is there to go?

The GB is viewed as disfellowshipped!
by Kent inconcerning those who renounced their christian faith in his day, the apostle john wrote: they went out from among us, they were not of our sort; for if they had been of our sort, they would have remained with us.
(1 john 2:19) also, a person might renounce his place in the christian congregation by his actions, such as by becoming part of a secular organization the objective of which is contrary to the bible and, hence, is under judgment by jehovah god.
