  from my cong .

  something uneblievable just happened.. i am pomo for a while not too long though.

  while we were away (i and my best friend for the weekend), i received several texts from my 2 friends, from my ex-cong ,who are pimi(but starting to have doubts) who have been asking me questions about the jdubs.the texts seemed quite urgent n serious, so got the lowdown .at the weekend meeting , 3 families walked out!.

  there is so much wrong with the newly released october, 2019 but that's not unusual.

  what stands out is there statement claiming that survival through armageddon depends on loyalty to those 'taking the lead'.

  since they claim there will be a point during the gt that they (the gb) won't be physically around, jws must still be loyal to jw leaders.. whats interesting in this article is that they make it clear that they, the governing body are going to take part, from heaven, in the war of armageddon.

  If I may raise a couple of things here.

  • In my wt learning days no one ever told me of this blood things origin, ie when it started or that it was a flip flop as with organ transplants.So the teachings are flawed by indecision.
    
  • so i was left to assume it was a belief from earliest times.
  • Its my life observation that jw as a group are among the unhealthiest of people. They are sedentary and have no participation in any active sport.
  • Their understanding of nutrition is poor.
    
  • so when such a person and possibly with obesity issues goes under the knife the doctors are pushing up hill for a good outcome but I readily accept that otherwise healthy people dont normally need surgery.
    

  also I have had surgery and the thoracic surgeon said out right he preferred not to use blood as a matter of course due to reactions that could occur.

  In my case they used blood 'harvesting' recycling through filters and back to me. The hospital required 2 (just two) units of blood to be on stand by in case of 'catastrophe' which I agreed to. It was not used.

  and what is the wt acceptance of parts of blood further shattering their doctrine and this thing called 'hemo-pure' which and I believe is derived from bovine blood.. yoiks!

  There's nothing to watch on TV anymore ???

  do you find yourself, as i sometimes do, skimming through channels on the tv remote and not finding anything interesting to watch?.

  growing up, we only had four channels on our tv (nbc, cbs, abc and pbs).

  and yet there always seemed to be something of interest to see.. sadly, i often find myself watching shows where some guys are auctioning off storage lockers, killing alligators, picking junk from peoples' garages or barns, catching tuna, towing cars, driving trucks on the ice, catching crabs, running pawn shops ... etc etc etc.

  Why this obsession with Standardisation?

  the longer i am out, the the less i understand the logic of this organisation.. i thought that the kingdom hall my wife attends was perfectly fine and adequate, in fact i liked that it sat in grassy grounds, surrounded by trees.

  it probably wasn't in any dire need of re-decorating at this point.

  others, obviously, thought otherwise and so the hall has recently been subjected to a make-over.. the parking lot has been extended in true joni michell they've "paved paradise and put up a parking lot".
