  Just got a call from an elder

  so i faded over a year ago...i told the elders that if i needed them i would call them.

  1 year and 3 months later, today, i get a call from an elder who used to be my good friend...he calls and i dont pick up..he leaves a voicemail, saying "hello ____, please call me back at 444-444-4444 whenever you can".

  i was like wow, this has to be one of those calls to get inactive ones back to the memorial.

  does anyone know where the un moved their statement about the watchtower ngo association?

  it used to be that you could use the search function (see: http://search.un.org/search?q=watchtower+bible+tract+society+filetype%3apdf&btng=search+un+website&output=xml_no_dtd&client=un_website_en&proxystylesheet=un_website_en&oe=utf-8&ie=utf-8.

  Here is the link to the archived PDF. It does have ",...un.gov\,.." within the URL but am unsure that this is a "proof" that it is a valid UN Letter.

  I'm not saying it's not, I believe it is, but am thinking what a jw apologist would argue. Better to be prepared than surprised.

  I watched his entire series last year with this guy and another elder off screen. Not sure which one it is but the elder on screen there in the picture says something to the effect " I used to hit all the pu$$y I could" paraphrasing but he talked about getting all he could when he was younger and he said this to a bible study, he did not use the V word either.

  I think that it is amazing that the article listed above from 1952 closes with this comment "The law of the land and God’s law through Christ forbid us to kill apostates , even though they be members of our own flesh-and-blood family relationship."

  Really,..",... even though they be members of our own flesh-and-blood family relationship." Is saying that the Jws that have Apostate family should expect to have a harder time NOT KILLING the apostates, since they are their family members. Not an easier time, not killing them, but a harder time not killing them. WOW!!

  ive been watching "the following" lately and my wife watched a few episodes with me.

  she couldnt fathom at first the depth that mind control or "destructive influence" can take you.

  so in accordance with hassans "freedom of mind" i have decided that exposing other cults to my wife will help me help her to find correlations to the wt and hopefully lead her to the bite model.

  i read the watchtower article on this "new light.

  " has any information on how "this generation" turned into two overlapping generations of only anointed people been printed?

  the word "evidence" was thrown around a lot in the article, but none was provided unless something has been printed since then and i have missed it.

  as i was laying in bed i thought of a question to ask my wife.

  "when the wt has an article on the next change in teaching or new light, just guessing, what do you think it might be?".

  it does not need to be phrased just like that, but i thought it might be a powerful question since it would make the jw subconsciously question all of the current teachings, something they are not taught to do.

  I asked my brother, who is still in, "Are you saying that their will not change any doctrines from this point onward?" He replied," No,.. You know we can't say that will never happen" I then replied " So your admitting that some of the things that you believe now, could be wrong,.. some of those things you base your life and the life of your children on" I hope that this would stick in his head and simmer a bit.

  many times at the kh i heard the various brothers boasting how the kh had good numbers in attendance and the churches of christendom did not.. i 've just worked out why this is; you cannot leave.

  There is a youtube video out there that shows some old Jw literature that states, at different times that both Satan AND Jesus were Abbadon.

  Not that you would find it interesting enough to watch but thought it interesting.
