They Are Just Like The Amish (But with Electricity)
by OnTheWayOut ini was describing jehovah's witnesses to a family member who had no idea whatsoever about them.
i may be straightforward and describe things in terms i have learned since reading about cults, but i was not over the top in any way.
i was simply stating the facts in a way that did not try to put any positive spin on anything.. my family member said, "so they are basically the amish but with televisions and electricity.

Welcome as well. Some of the best advice as mentioned by everyone else is to take it slow. As you have already figured out, the end is NOT near. Plan your future, you're going to have one. Whichever way you go remember to Live Well....Enjoy Life.

Fingerlakes as well. PM me; I'm sure we know a crap load of people. For those wine lovers out there, the best Rieslings now come from the vineyards of the Fingerlakes area in NY. (See, something to counter those sour grapes in Brooklyn.)

I carry a Beretta 32 pistol. Nice gun. Has enough knock down power while being easily carried in one's pocket. (I have personally been shot by a 22 caliber rifle. The perp shot me throught the leg. Had a surprised look on his face when I didn't fall over. I was on top of him as he was trying to stuff a second round in a bolt action rifle.) All other guns are locked up in a secure area only known to me. Ammunition is there as well.

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!.......you are full of hypocrisy.....how are you to flee from the judgement of Gehenna?" Future not sounding all that rosy for the GB. Damn, where's that burning Hell when you need it.

What activity or dream did you put off till the New System?
by nochoice inafter reading the thread about jw kids getting gifts all year and not needing christmas, i thought about how i was told there would be plenty of toys in the new system.
i was told that on my birthday too.
and now i started thinking about all the things i justified suffering growing up as a kid, and then a teenager, and then an adult, because it would be better in the new system.
