Sept.15th WT - Submit to the WT Society or Jehovah Will Not Know You
by flipper inthis was some of the most blatant , aggressive , controlling information i've seen in awhile in the " witness only " version of the wt.
of course, it's always blatant, but the manner that was used in this article was so authoritative and demanding - it's apparent the wt society is losing members and they are amping up the control tactics to keep members trapped.
the article in discussion is on pg.

When it comes to controlling people they are the masters at it. They have never cared about the R&F personal feelings. All they care about is keeping a tight grip on all they hold. Are they running scared? I think so. With everything happening to them they are revving up the propaganda machine. Sorry I forgot to say Hi Flipper. So hello. Totally ADD

On Friday morning I got a phone call from someone who was interested in buying a utility trailer I had for sale. The man came over and looked at it and ended up buying it. I invited him inside our home to fill out the paper work. In our conversation he brought out he was a pastor of a local church. It turn out to be the church my wife went to when she was a little girl. He started bringing up names of people my wife remember. I asked him if he went to a seminary. He said yes he had a master in theology, taught theology in college, and had study greek and hebrew for three years. He asked me why I wanted to know. So for the next two hours my wife and I told him our story of being a JW and fading away. He was so understanding and loving to us. His words to us were very encouraging to both of us. Of course he invited us to his church which is a nondenominational church. But he said only when you feel comfortable doing it. No pressure. He told us what we really need are good friends who will show us unconditional friendship and love. We gave him a copy of "COC". He was very appreciative of the gift and said he would read it and return it back to us. He asked if he could say a paryer for us and we agree to it. In his prayer he mention our move the stress we are going through leaving the WT and our new business. I have never in all my life been shown so much understanding and love. I just could not get over it. It really made my day.
The next day during the evening a person I have been trying to develop a friendship with called me about some business interest we have. During the conversation he started telling me the chruch he goes to was having studies on diffrent religions. And how some are cults. I asked him which ones. The first one we brings out is JW. He starts telling me the lies they say and the child abuse that takes place with them. I hesitated for a moment and said to him I have been wanting to tell him for a long time that I was a Ex JW. This ended in another 2 hour discussion about our former beliefs and what JW really teach. He wanted me to give a talk about JW at his chruch. I told him not now but maybe down the road. Again he was very understanding and consoling to me and was happy I told him our story and our friendship we have. He goes to a Alliance Church. I was able to tell him what it was like to be raised in the JW cult. And how it has affected my life for the worse. But now I am making a complete break from it. He was so happy for me. And he understood it will take a long while before I would even consider going to another church because of what I have been through. At the end of the conversation he asked if he could say a prayer for me I agreed. In his prayer he mention the difficult problem I am dealing with leaving the JW cult and how happy he was to be my friend. Again I could not believe it in 2 days I was shown such love and understanding. It all brought tears to my eyes. Some may feel they were only trying to get me to go to their church. But that was not the case. They both understood it will take along time for us to heal and what we went through and are still going through will take alot of time for us to get over.
Again just proving to myself that the WT has lied to me about how so called worldly people are only bad and only think of themselves. I just thought you would like to here a uplifting story. Totally ADD

why give the elders power over your lives?
by dawntodaylight inhey everyone!!
happy friday!!!
its been a while since i have started a topic so here it goes..... when i joined the org i came in knowing that i would never go to the elders for advice or to confess any wrong doings.

When I was a elder I notice many who came to the elders and confessed some wrong doing were people who was emotional weak. I am not saying all was like that but many were. For some they really wanted someone else to tell them what to do they really wanted someone else to control them. Then for the rest they are thinking people and because of the teachings they felt they needed to confess. But there are many others that see through it and never say a thing and for the most part get away with it. Every year there is always a WT study that trys to prick the friends conscience who may be hidding something to go to the elders and confess. You know make it right with Jehovah. True mind control at it's best. I must have been the exception not the rule. I always wanted to help these folks not punish them. Totally ADD

Email doing the rounds: Bro. from Walkill shared news
by truthseeker infyi.
from worldwide report a brother from wallkill shared during congregation may 10, 2010. .
there are now 16 printing branches in the world, all of them are electronically connected so if one branch had to shut down because of disaster such as an earthquake, all they need to do is transfer the files to another branch and shift the workload there.

Children......
by cantleave incan anyone tell me if it was ever written that spending too much time with your kids is in effect idolising them.. i recall it being said by a co during an elder's meeting, but was it just one child hating co, or something embedded into the wt culture from the top down?.

Children in the cult are always low on the totem pole. It was most likely a child hating CO. Their is alot of them out there. Totally ADD

The cult has everyone running around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. The are scared to death they are going to get zapped by Jehovah if they don't go to all the meetings, field service and assemblies. Also the everybody is out to get them is also big on their minds. I remember. It is quite a brain washing. Hope everything goes well for you and Get well soon. Totally ADD

Congraulation to you. If I remember you also found out you have ADD. How is that going for you. There is a good book I want to read just have not got around getting it yet but maybe you would be interested in it. It's called "Totally ADD and Loving It" thats were I got my name on this forum. It talks about adult ADD and how to deal with it. Also it helps others around you to understand were you are coming from. I have learned to laugh at myself now instead of being hard on myself when I mess up because of the ADD. Thank you for your great contribution you give to this forum. Take care. Totally ADD
