I feel recognition, identity, sort of sad, then I snicker. I guess that's the exit process for you!

Exploitation of brothers & sisters
by LouBelle inin the past i visited bethel and got to 'tour' around.
here men & women worked their asses off every single day - a full 8 & 1/2 hours a day.
they had to make sure they were up at the crack of dawn to attend the reading of the day text.

Jesus said you received free you give free!
Bethelites are people working mostly in publishing factories & support offices, right? So where is the money going?!

Cook at home or eat out?
by greendawn indo you know how to cook, even just a few simple recipes, or do you hate the idea of home cooking and prefer to always rely on restaurants and take aways, or just prepare easy snacks like sandwiches and melted cheese on toast?

I hate cooking, & would eat out or takeaway every night if I could! Well, I like cooking probably about once a month, something nice, but I hate thinking about what to make for dinner every night, & then making it! I also like it when my husband cooks!

ExJWs: Get Used To It : THE WATCHTOWER WILL NOT DIE OUT
by steve2 inthere is a precident for the jws becoming more hard-lined: the exclusive brethren.
prior to 1959 the exclusive brethren, whilst conservative, tended to have a more open outreach and even allowed some fraternizing with non-members.
however, following directions from their leaders in 1959, they suddenly slammed closed the doors, introducing beliefs such as: refusing to eat meals with anyone who was not a member and (this makes me sick) automatically breaking up families if one spouse questioned the authority of the leaders.
