RunningMan,
I'm happy that your article got published. Cute example of your mother wearing a paper napkin to pray. We know where that came from ;)

much to my surprize, i received an e-mail from a webzine this morning, telling me that one of my articles was published.
they must be very hard up for material.. it is on the subject of "the women of the bible".
it outlines some of the gender discrimination of the bible, and highlights a few inconsistancies in some of the bible stories that mention women.. if anyone is interested, it can be found at: http://www.liberator.net/.

if you were able to get this url during the short time you were snooping on my computer last night then you have probably by now read a lot of my most personal feelings about my life growing up as a jw.. much of it is very shocking to you and will be even more so to mom if you tell her (which i wish you wouldnt!).
i'm hoping that after you calm down you will let this alone and do nothing with the knowledge about me that you have.
i know that you have no interest in hearing the truth about what goes on in the organization so i wont even tell you to look it up yourself.. i dont go around trying to convert jw's and i havent tried to tell you any of this stuff so i think the best thing for jaden at the moment would be if you just left me alone.
Flower,
I hope this letter to your sister helps. At least you seem very strong about your beliefs and how you should be treated. That's great.
Please realize that she was in the wrong to intrude into your private belongings by even touching your computer. Unfortunately, it’s the Gestapo mentality that the jws reason they can do such invasive things.
Remember it's them, not you that are controlled by an organization and you are free mentally

in chat tonight, i enjoyed the opportunity to talk to someone here who is actively involved in doing fund raising for different ex-dub projects and organizations.
i thought that was really a cool thing to do and wanted to pass a few thoughts on to you good folks to think favorably in this direction.. im not soliciting for any funds here but rather ideas of how different individuals might raise some capital to donate to the cause they see important.
i know there are many generous people out there and that is all well and good if you have the funds you want to contribute but i was thinking there may be additional ways that we could raise capital for projects without resorting to asking for collections.. some of the time honored ways of doing things like this are bake sales, selling candy, or some other product.
WOW, skipper, does your creative mind ever stop working?
It truly amazes me how much you contribute in ideas and projects here.

welcome to the pages of mind childs guide to online health and fine unscriptural dining.
anyone who has been hanging around simons world of apasta-fiesta knows that there are a lot of strange things growing in this large garden.
of all these interesting species the trolls deserve some attention as to how to best be used, avoided, or manipulated for your own pleasure.
OK, skipper, this qualifies as a fluff post. Still working on jedi?

this was my first time talking to my df'd aunt since i found out the truth about the 'lie'.
i gotta tell you things are really different now.
i almost wanted to get on my knees and beg for forgivness for the way she has been treated by my family for so many years but i was at her place of work.
Flower, this is really great. What a wonderful start, getting back with your family and you yourself letting go of some controling behavior that was ingrained in you.
Who knows where your new freedom will lead!

still can't spell without spell check. sorry
looks like it's just disappeared.
no more posts from danni.
no more posts from mymy.. just to add my own little tidbit here, has anyone heard of a park hills (or parkhill) congregation?
lol @ runningMan
i'm wondering how many of you took a while to gather up the courage to dispose of your cupboard loads of watchtowers and awakes, that you'd stored away for........safe keeping????.
we probably hung on to ours for a few months and then we burned them.
there was a tinge of apprehension about it, but it was generally a very satisfying activity.
We have a huge library of wt "stuff", so we haven't gotten rid of any of that yet.
Emptying out the bookbag and not touching it ever again was very liberating. I used to fret over my RV book, to make sure it was organized, up to date. Never again. Yippee. I can't even remember if I turned in any territory I still had. Oh well, not my problem any more.

as most of you know one of our long time posters, "mommy"/wendy, is expecting a baby in the very near future.
as some of you may not know (and i hope she doesn't plot my murder for discussing it) wendy is going through some real tough times.
she could use a few things for the baby considering getting by with two other children is difficult enough!.
Yes Wendy, nurses make the worst patients ;)
I'm glad your kids are getting excited about all the baby things coming your way. I'm sure they will be a big help for you when the little one is here.
Sorry to hear about the school situation. I'm sure you are doing a bang up job teaching them at home.
Now, about the bedrest...."I sit the whole time". That doesn't sound horizonal to me! (just got to keep on these noncompliant pts!!!!)

go on, be honest, how did you enjoy giving talks?.
were you nervous?.
glad when it was over?.
It was a fantastic high being able to manipulate the minds of so many people, a real turn-on, you always performed brilliantly and were the darling of the congregation afterwards?
yep, that was me. hehe, what power!
folks,.
i was thinking about what is was like growing up as a jw in the 40's and 50's.
some things were easier, some were harder.. easier.
Wasn't it easier back then because you got a break between the public talk and watchtower study? Also between the school and service meeting? Loved to watch who smoked ;)
