SBF -- perhaps you should introduce "Santas" as an evidential scale -- the degree to which an ordinary adult believe santa is real.
So the earth is flat: 0.5 SANTAS
JWs has the truth: 0.1 SANTAS
no facts about the world are absolutely certain.
that being the case i wonder how others would rank amd rate their confidence in various factual statements about the world.
i am going to rate my confidence in ten items of "knowledge" as a percentage.

I am sorry to see you leave. From wikipedia: on internet trolling:
In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response
hmmm.
Viviane: However, it also allows us to see how forum members respond to personal attacks and give us a bit of insight into their perception vs. reality.
so i decided yesterday to give my wife's full disclosure.
not sure it was the best decision considering she holds very firmly to the resurrection hope so we can see our babies again.. anyways she is agreeable to begin a study to find a better truth.
where is a good place to go to get some good reliable biblical info on the web that we can consider together?.
I started a topic a few days ago on talking with people on their deeply held beliefs using the socratic method. This is the approach which I plan to follow:
according to this scientist.

oil, banking, armaments, stock-markets, and society as we know it, all evaporating into thin air thanks to this.. nope - but it will revive tesla stories.
listening to clips of the latest manipulative video from the watchtower i realised how much i detest that word - jehovah.. sometimes i have thought it would be interesting to observe a meeting or part of a convention.
every time i heard that word i would be unable to stay in my seat.. i have a visceral reaction every time i hear it.
it stands for so much that i have contempt for.
Since I was not raised in, whenever I hear the word Jehovah I think about the first time I heard it which was:
according to this scientist.

It is tin-foil land to suggest someone would assassinate him for creating a free energy device IMO. Think of a situation where this has happened (the example has to be about non-military research).
These things are announced every few years, remember the E-CAT and Rossi which was pushed a few years back? This will happen:
bank - thank you for maintaining your loan repayments for the past 3 years.
to show our appreciation we are forgiving the balance of your loan.
borrower - yeah!.
it is rare you find something on youtube on religion which feels fresh, but this did it for me.
most here properly agree that the best (only) way to have a constructive conversation with jw who is in is using methods such as those described by steven hassan.
however if you search youtube or the internet, most discussions on faith takes the form of debates or at any rate discussion about factual things -- exactly the things steven hassan would tell you is the least likely to work.. i came across a series of youtube videos with a guy who is basically walking around with a camera and interviewing people on their beliefs.
well i just watched this "epic" video, i would have to say this is probably the most disturbing video yet.
there campaign to get people back is just pathetic in the most mind-manipulating way.
"welcome home" or "come back home" are they serious?
wow!
i haven't been on in three years now, i pretty much got myself caught up to date and times change as always.
we moved down to florida last year and i ran into some jw's at a booth they have in a flea market here, kissimmee, 10 minutes from everything disney.
