never thought the system would go on so i would never face this situation....problem is my mum always told me how i was the firstborn after 4 baby deaths {this really messed her up and scared me} me and my sister who is married and 30 have had no kids....no grandkids for my family.
i'm financially well off, and without kids i spend money on whatever i want and have pets but....still feels abit empty.

go for it, you got a lot a living to do, my wife was 37 when she had our second child.
they are amazing, dont be scared of trying to be happy none of us know when the times up.

everyone seems to just hate the wt.. i am very upset with the way ive been treated but i dont hate them.. they have given me huge self confidence after helping me out of depression, although i have a fab counsellor, so they cant get all the credit.
they have made me independent as well, (i think my ex-study conductor regrets that!
) i suddenly have a mind of my own and am not afraid to use it.. i owe them quite a lot they have really helped me through some bad times but they have created some bad times for me too.

great entertainer but a very flawed human, would the people who stand up for him be so ready to defend their neighbour, workmate or even relative.

i look back on my witness days....and just feel it was something i needed to calm me down, i was a youth out of control with no direction, heading for death or prision. so it straightend me out, gave me discipline.
but it was crazy, brain washing...so i`m glad i left. i check this site out to keep in touch with people who have had the same or similiar experience to me. i met a lot of good people in the jw`s but mostly indifferent no marks, with no substance only a head in the sand quality.
sure there are those who are radical on both sides of this site (they may not be so in real life), i have a smile at their comments, because i just let it drift over my head these days, why would god make it all so hard!....do i want to see jw`s fall.....no.
what i dont like to see and hear of is people dragging themselves along to any religion or thing that makes them unhappy...so i would say if your happy its up to you.

here's one example: being a congregation publisher.
nowhere in the bible does it say you should be a "publisher" and turn in your time if you preach.
they try to twist the scriptures by saying that numbers are constantly being recorded in the bible so then conforming to the rules of being a publisher is from the scriptures.. yeah, right..
thanks RENIAA for pointing out that jw`s are always right...it must be wonderful to belong to such a wonderful flawless org, and that although the people who make up the congregation are imperfect, the faithful slave is never wrong, it maybe alittle over eager at times, but only because it so despartely wants to see this wicked system of things end. simple question finding "god" or the "truth" shouldnt be about quoteing endless scripture and debating it, it should be simple, because surely "IF" there is a god, dosent he want to be found?.
reading your waffle just makes me so happy that i left the jw`s many years ago, oh and arrmaggedon was just round the corner then....about twenty years ago. look darling get a life, becuase its to short, and most of the people on this site want you to have one.

hello i`ve got to say i think your doing the right thing my friend, there are others and i`m sure from good motives who would try and convince you that you must leave. i feel you will be much better able to have an effect and infulence on things from the inside for your childrens sake. i also want to add a note of caution from your own point of view what will you do when your children have grown up? thats a question for you to answer, will you be happy to continue to put up a pretence, and what if your children remain jw`s. it`s a tough one and my heart felt feelings go out to you, but as we say in england "don`t go at it like a bull at a gate" . let things roll along a bit, time changes things, play it slowly,dont rush your feelings. keep going along making out everythings fine, get stronger, work out your plan, and maybe you can find a good way out of this. good luck
so the uk is divided into 4 separate countries - the big bit called england that has wales on the side and scotland at the top with northern ireland off on its own island.. each country has multiple cultural identities.
broadly speaking (and i generalize) the wealth of england (and the uk generally) is concentrated in london, the 'rust belt' is in the middle namely birmingham and manchester and the north of england tends to be poorer.. scotland - where i'm from - is culturally rich but economically poor.
there is a long-standing argument about how wealthy scotland could have been if it had been able to keep all the north sea oil revenue instead of sending it to london.
newcastle is on the border of scotland that is why they have such a pronouced accent, although GB is full of very different regional accents, scousers (liverpool, the beatles) mancs (manchester) brummies (birmingham,woverhampton,etc) cockneys (londeners, southern softys)
sadly as as wobble says immigration is diluteing GB, as is television. i come from nottingham which once had a very well known accent with expressions such as "hey up me duck" which are very rarely heard anymore. in fifty years GB will just be a melting pot with no identity.
