the definition of an apostate is one who has abandoned his religious faith.
i was baptized in 1974. the religion i joined believed that jesus selected the bible students in 1919 to do a separating work.
we had to preach to find the sheep like ones.

1700+ years and still considered very valid and going strong in original form. Something with that long of a history carries a LOT more merit than something (WT) that's been around 130-140 years at most. Especially since it does not exist anywhere near it's original form (speaking of the WT of course). That's a little wishy washy if you ask me.
in the late 1960s and early 1970s, i wrote my study, 1914 and all that.
in it, i stated that at matthew 24 jesus warned his followers against seeing wars, earthquakes and famines as being signs.
i have not wavered from that position, which i have given in my posts here at times.. .
From what I read Jesus' return will not be obscure or visible only to a special few.

i read these threads and there are a few that bend over backwards to say why wts is correct on this issue or that issue.. they act like typical jw's that refuse to acknowledge points that may show that wts is not following the scriptures or that wts goes beyond the scriptures in a way that is not supported by others.. the point could be the blood issue or shunning or whether 1799 or 1914 was the start (or finish?
) of the last days or whether there is a faithful and discreet slave class or not.

This is a little off of topic but it appears you are in a state of being ostracized by "God's organization" for some wrong doing? I'm not concerned with why but what I can't understand is the fact that every time the GB of JW's produces an erroneous teaching or doctrine that later has to be changed (but which causes pain and suffering on many) they are let off the hook by the JW's as "imperfect men". Even when they blame their mistakes on the flock.
Why is it when the tables are turned they do not extend the "lost sheep" the same convenience. Where's the JW's get out of jail free card when they make a mistake? When do you get to use the "imperfect men" excuse. Why are you so quick to dismiss everything done wrong by the organization in defending them yet they won't do the same when you're down and out?

Absolutely!! I was on public reproof for about 6 months time. When I met w/ the JC part of why they took me off reproof was because they noticed I was "studying before meetings by my underlining" in the publications. They said that underlining answers is the sign of a mature christian.
Question 1: Why was the reproved witness removed from reproof?
