The usual power struggles, politics, divisions and enforcing ones own opinion on everything form dress standards to hair styles.
Though one elder, (from Oz) who with his wife and kids was featured in a w/t experience and then featured on one of the calendars a few years back (yes that meant looking at him for two months on the wall), was very vocal that he enjoyed oral sex! At one jdub gathering he mentioned to a few of the brothers around him that his wifey gives him hj's at work, driving in the car, anywhere!
A few sisters complained about him as their husbands were then asking for oral sex saying it was ok as bro _____ gets it and he is an elder! He was removed as an elder after a few months, not because he was gettin it, but because he was vocal in his support of it encouraging the practice in the congo!! It took 2 c/o's to delete him, though has still stayed in that congo as a larger than life figure....

PS - I saw him & his wifey at the last district convention I went to and still lol when I see him walking down the aisle smiling. (mental pictures)

On my way out of the "organization" and feeling very lost...

i've spent the better part of today while my kids were in school reading many threads.. some background...i am in my mid 30s, married, 2 kids.
i was born and raised a jw...came from "good" stock...elders, pioneers, etc.

After a week, this is where I'm at.....
by wantstoleave ini have been active on this board a week now and i think for the most part, my head is alot clearer now.
previously when i'd considered leaving the organisation, i had no other knowledge to back up my feelings.
i simply just wanted to leave and thought that come armageddon, i would die.

Oct. 15th WT - WT Society Manipulation " Find True Friends Only in JW land"

so the wt society was setting it's members up to seek friends only in the ranks of jehovah's witnesses.
basically in this article " maintaining friendships in a loveless world " - even from the title you get the impression the wt is showing that the world is loveless- but the jehovah's witnesses are not.

Riiiiiggght, unshakeable hey? What about all the "true friendships" in the congregation broken up by ones who back bite/slander/gossip, cause trouble by being a busy body and enforcing their own personal opinions?? Or "true friendships" broken up by hmm, let see, sexual immorality??
Who are these guys kidding? Are they that immune from the averge j-dub congo that they don't realise what problems the average congo has with personality/friendship issues?
I could walk into my last 2 halls that I went to and point out ones who were not speaking to certain other bro & sisster, as well as elders who were fighting amongst themselves and some elders wives who would not even say hello to other elders wives!
What about the former PO, sorry CC who up and left "Plenty" congo in Melbourne along with wife, daughter & her hubby and grandkid and moved to neighboring hall over disputes with other elders and families?? This is happening everywhere, so much so that I want to puke when I read propaganda articles such as this one.

i needed to know how to manage the situation and i was very fortunate to be given two research studies that exposed the jws errors on the neo-babylonian chronology.
one study was written by geoff rogerson, from the small country town of western australia called denmark, and the other was by max hatton, who had been a jw for 5 years but had been affected by geoff's work.. .

one case involved a teenage muslim girl with burn scars on her face....her bomb failed to detonate so she clawed at her face in frustration...she was hoping to end her pain by going to "paradise" to be perfect.
witnesses claim if the die due to lack of blood or due to nuetrality it's okay!

Who has given the masterbation talk on the TMS?
by Out at Last! ini had the "privelege" of giving the masterbation talk years ago.
when i looked at the talk slip and saw the theme, i thought at least they have an expert on the subject.
the best thing about it was that the point i was to be counseled on was gestures.

I too gave the talk, the school overseer "hand picked" myself and another brother to give the talks (there were two masturbation talks in two weeks)
I had sore wrists by the time I finished my talk.........................
