naturally, this draws quite a negative response from the jw community, but this particular person decided to send me a personal message.. you wanna talk smack about witnesses or anyone in general you better have your facts straight.
everything you said is taken almost enitrly out of context to our true practices.
Seriously, how do you argue with someone so delusional, someone who has NO idea what his church even teaches? Some of the things he's saying could get him disfellowshipped, yet he still trods along as a good little Watchtower sheep, spreading the good news he apparently knows nothing about.
You should tell him that the Watchtower forbids talking to Apostates (and give him a message from the Apostates that we prefer it that way).

Ok, I need help too. I can't seem to give a crap about alcohol. There was a short period of time where it was fun to go out and get wasted, now I'll buy a case of beer or hard liquor and forget to drink it.
Its interfering with my social relationships. I want to be a drunk, help me!

sorry this has turned out longer than i thought.anyway i lived the life of a single mother fell away from the organisation,and eventually met a (worldly) guy who is the most loving guy i have ever met,my best friend,lover and soulmate.i was disfellowshipped 4 months ago because we live with each other and plan to get married in september,unacceptable to the society hence my disfellowshipping.it has broke my mum and dads heart and im so so sorry for this,i love them so much,but no longer want or believe in the jw beliefs.
i still believe in god but dont know where im bound as regards my faith,i really do want to have something.
apart from my mum and dad and the shunning arrangement im so happy,the happiest i have ever been in years,and my 2 youngest ones are happy as well..my eldest daughter is 16 and planning on getting baptised in july which is tearing me apart,she is so like me,but is being brainwashed by a certain crowd of witnesses,need i say anymore...my eldest son who is 18 isnt in the truth and feels the same way i do... anyway thanks for this forum and hope to hear from likeminded friends soon.
Almost 42 with 5 kids and she finds a good man. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have all just been witness to a miracle. The world truly does work in mysterious ways. If you were still in the troof, your only option would have been to marry my uncle (you're doing better on the outside, trust me).

if they have "light" as per acts 15:28, 29 then they claim to have holy spirit (inspiration), if they claim that the apostles were not provided the light on circumcision via holy spirit - which they do in w95 5/15 p. 12 par.

over the years there have been a few news stories about some "crazed" jw man or woman that kills their family because they don't want them to be destroyed at armageddon..
wts teaching is that anyone who dies in this system, if not irredeemably evil (hitler), will be resurrected in the new system.
wts teaching is also that those who are not evil but merely indifferent, disfellowshipped, children having unbelieving parents, etc., will be destroyed very soon, and that this destruction is permanent, with no hope of resurrection..
Since this is the case, it is in fact the greatest act of love to kill one's loved ones NOW, assuring them of a resurrection and absolutely preventing them from destruction at Armageddon.
*adjusting to JW logic* Seems reasonable to me. The deal is pretty cut and dried, this is a perfectly usable loophole.
Why don't more JWs take this obvious, foolproof route to protecting the eternal lives of their loved ones? I say that deep down at the subconscious level, most of them don't really believe it.
Not only to they not believe it, they know it isn't true and they choose not to care. We, the worldly have no sure and easy way to replace what they get from being part of the Borg Collective. Watch Star Trek. Seven of Nine (really hot Borg woman who was "freed".... and has a killer ass) still had issues with being separated from the Borg, even though she had a super-supportive happy little Starship Enterprise family around her. The mind gets used to being a drone, becoming a human can be an uncomfortable challenge for the disconnected.

I'm dead serious, I think we should organize a "preaching" effort to contact every JW on earth 1 time, to give them information and ask them to come out into the world. If they refuse, we disfellowship them from our cult. No more association with any worldly people, JW walking out in public gets eyes turned and people avoiding contact like they are the plague.
If we can find a way to get the home addresses of all JW's, I'll print up some literature and arrange the car groups. We need a few volunteers to serve on the Judicial Committee.

I would be astonished if every 15-40 year old in the entire organization hasn't actually "gone looking" for apostate info on-line. I remember being curious as hell what these "apostates" were. I thought (you guys) were some extra-screwed up off-shoot of JW's that are EVEN MORE extreme in your views. You never get the impression that "Apostates" are normal people that don't want to be a JW. It looks like a competing, hostile, religion from the inside.
during the recent storms that swept parts of the u.s. a pioneer sister was at a get-together.

"after all, if we were all swept away, how would the preaching work get done?
Meanwhile a few Witnesses in a nearby area were killed by the storm. Of course, they must be inactive by this manner of reasoning.
What do you call a group of Witnesses killed by a storm while pioneering? A terrible tradgedy.
