the older i get, the more i appreciate serenity and tranquiity.
Our congregation was just one big dysfunctional family...literally. Everyone was married to someone's relative. I believe the inter-marriage affected the gene pool within the congregation. The most important thing for the women was what you wore, what your hair looked like and how much gossip you could spread in a 10 minute period. The most important thing for the men was scrambling up that golden ladder to lord/eldership. There was so much kissing ass that most people just left their pants down all the time.
Good riddance says I.

you only get one try, and there is no monetary prize if you get it right.
(of course, everyone will get this one right off the bat.

this ain't a song for the broken-hearted .
no silent prayer for the faith-departed .
i ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd .
We can identify In Between! Sometimes the bad days outnumber the good ones and then it turns around and the good days are wracking up.
That is one of my favorite Bon Jovi songs/lyrics. It's like an X-JW fight song.
Another favorite of mine..."You Will Soar"
If I had just one thing to say
before my last breath fades away
Keep your head way up in the clouds
And never let them get you down
Never let them get you down
Keep hoping and dreaming and you...will soar
If I had just two words to say
to explain my life away
I could say Ups and Downs
Because I always kept my defense down
Always kept my defense down
Keep hoping and dreaming and you...will soar
With a little faith and love
You will soar
I wish I could take you away
To a place of mystery
We will travel there on sands of time
To listen to fairy tales
We will listen to fairy tales
We will listen, listen, listen
We will listen to fairy tales
Keep hoping and dreaming and you...will soar
With a little faith and love
You will soar!
You will soar!
You will soar!
hug...cathy l.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....!!! Well...when the time comes...the time comes. Fitting for my "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" official quote calendar...
"Without change, we could not exist. If your kids didn't grow up, they couldn't have kids of their own. If we didn't get both rain and sunshine, the plants wouldn't grow, and so forth. When we hang on to things beyond a certain point--youth, beauty, power, a role, success, or whatever--we suffer".
Big hug...cathy/HadEnuf/mumsy

i am furious, i have a 1700 square foot house with all new appliances including a new air conditioning system by trane.
what was my bill for june?
($400.00) this is beyond belief.
1200 sq. ft. I think it was about $120...we run the central air off and on depending upon my hot flashes.
i have to set up my little story before i give you the details of the generosity i bestowed upon my dear lovable friend......... briana(ex jw), is going to a wedding next aug with her boy friend nick.
the wedding she is going to is nick's cousin(groom), who she used to date(short period of time).
briana got the "groom's identity" news this past week.

i probably won't get to see it until next week but i'm just on pins and needles...jack sparrow can do no wrong in my eyes...my god i cannot wait to see this movie!!!.
anyone going this weekend???
Went to see it this afternoon. It was long (2 1/2 hours)...but non-stop action and pretty funny. I myself love Johnny Depp in ANYTHING and am already waiting in breathless anticipation for #3. Killer interview with him in Rolling Stone magazine. AND...Keith Richards will have a cameo/part in the third installment. What a hoot.
