I wonder if it is a Jewish name? Omnipotenstein?
ha ha !! very funny
i was thinking about some stupid non-sensical answers i have heard over the years.
"we all know the blue whale is the biggest fish"
"we were on the ministry and met a coloured couple.
I wonder if it is a Jewish name? Omnipotenstein?

a jw associate emailed this to me.
exudes of typical jw smugness towards "worldly" folks.
has this been your experience in the borg?.
FRIENDS: will visit you in the hospital when you're sick
Theocratic FRIENDS: will cut your grass and clean your house
then come spend the night with you in the hospital and cook for you
when you come home
My mother was bedridden for six months, not one visit, or encouraging phone call from the "Theocratic friends" at her hall !
A year ago there was a sister in our old hall who had surgery and couldn;t get up for months, my wife had her hairdresser go over and fix her hair up nicely.
Guess what happened ?
The elders counseled her on it, saying that "theocratic activities/actions, should have been her focus in helping this older sister !!
watch study ed.
july 15 p.22 2009 a witness in kyrgyzstan met a muslim man with a big bulldog who threatened to "set the dog on her" if she returned so....afew days later she returns hoping to find "other members of the family.
" {a dumb sister!
this will probably be the latest witness e-mail chain letter to make the rounds
a non witness who had studied the jws commented that the religion produce unmanly men.
do you agree with him?.
.
so, a poster here stated that he trolls the obits and counts his time while doing it.
anyone else here engage in this behavior when active?
or is he amongst the more "special" members of your average congregation?.
I actually DID THIS
Another thing our elders encouraged was going out in service at nursing homes,
i da'ed myself back in october 2008.. i also work at a local community college, where the witnesses have a booth set up during the winter months and usually there are 3 -4 people.
just sitting there counting their time.. they are located in a student lounge area where i need to cross several times a day.. my question is this: would you just ignore them totally,.
would you approach them if they made eye contact, or would you just approach them whenever and say hello ?

would get some of the student curious about their so called "worldwide brotherly love"
i figure that since I work there, any type of WT rule regarding their opinions of someone who has left the org will not work.
They are in MY
environment, and if it bothers them well go back out in service and talk to people doing the door to door work.
I'm curious as to how many of you would deal with this situation ?
as one who grew up "in the truth", i recognized that the most important goal i could ever have was "to be used" in jehovah's service (aka the organization).
when i was a kid i pioneered every summer for at least one month, sometimes more.
i was the timekeeper for the theocratic ministry school as a child.
One time the elders asked if I would be interested in reading the wt on Sunday, and I said sure thing !
The next week the SAME elders came up to me and asked what I thought of the public reading, I said that it was fine.
So he said, "well you need to increase your answering during the meetings"
I looked at him , said I'll think about it, and he never approached me again.
this is huge (to me).
my wife won't clink glasses.
she won't watch anything r-rated or any shows/movies with a mystical or religious theme or undertone.
Thats great, you wife has a heart!
So many witnesses I knew would never step into a church, no matter what the reason.
well, my wife and i returned to the jw elders house for another bible study continuing the series in marriage.
that study went pretty well, poking fun at each other concerning our marital issues and all.
nothing in that particular study would seem to be bad or anything for after all, one cannot argue against the virtues of being faithful to your spouse and the marriage arrangement (at least for christians that is).
I truly enjoy your posts, very logical way of looking at the JW belief system.
a jehovah's witness with a new technique for proselytizing: "coffin chasing".. .

if you've ever been in an accident, you have experienced your sudden rise in popularity.
wow they actually care?
My Mother died a year ago, she was a baptised JW for thirty years.
My parents moved away to another state ten years ago.
When she died about only five people just sent a card. NO ONE stopped over to "console" me, or even called on the phone.
I'm happy to see that they are more focused on total strangers instead of people from their own congregation.
