The most frustrating, sad thing in the world
by Soledad ini just learned that an ex-cowoker of mine became engaged to her abusive boyfriend.
she is probably one of the brightest, prettiest people i have ever known--but she doesn't believe that because her boyfriend would rather have her believe she is dumb, ugly and nothing at all without him.
i am so sad for this girl.. she was in college last year and he made her give it up.

I see a thing of beauty. Not perfect, but as good as it can be for me. I see sparkling eyes starting to crinkle a little on the smile, but that's ok. Because the smile comes easy & light.

two different speakers said that signs work!
they have experimented with advertising in papers & opening a phone line, but they are getting the most interest from non-confrontational, thought provoking signs posted around town.

Did you make note of that guy Wilbur Lingle & how he understood the jws perfedtly & the method to get them out is NOT to go head to head with them, because they like to fight. That is can take years of patice to do so (nobody give up!) And the Fearons, & their visual signs. I did enjoy it, met up with some old friends from before, & made a few new ones.

Posting Signs
by nowuask inyou are able to sue the witnesses themselves if you have a no trespassing sign posted.
the watchtower bible & tract society of pennsylvania nor the watchtower bible & tract society of new york, inc. will not protect nor represent them, if you take them to court.
make sure that you notify the courts of the sign being posted.

I have my doubts as to the jws getting the message. I have an entire driveway full of rude, threatening signs, & it didn't stop them AFTER my husband called the KH & requested they take us off their little maps & leave us alone to enjoy our woods.

I was at the Jws for Jesus Convention yesterday, even though I don't subscribe to their religion, & there are many other topics discussed. Two different speakers said that SIGNS WORK! They have experimented with advertising in papers & opening a phone line, but they are getting the most interest from non-confrontational, thought provoking signs posted around town. "JWS-Jehovah's Witnesses, have you found out? Call 1-800-WHY 1914." Stuff like that.
Incidentally, Junction Guy was such a sweetie, with the most engaging blue eyes & smile. It's no wonder when he pickets, with that smile, no one gets mad at him!

Whats so wrong with us
by brother devoted ini have read the topic "no trespassing..." and can't keep frm asking "are you afraid of dialogue?".
i thought we were in america where we have freedom of speech, i have the freedom to approach my nieghbor oin conversation and he has the right to either continue the discussion or say "not interested" .
this whole thing about wanting to erect signs seem to cut off the freedom of speech that america says it prides itelf on...what happened?

I can't believe they will respect No Trespassing signs. A few years ago, my husband called the KH on a Sunday am & requested to speak to an elder. He instructed said "elder" to remove us from their little maps, etc. & never dare come up our driveway again. It is a long, winding driveway up the side of a mountain.
Guess what? About a year later, they came up again! Mind you, my driveway is lined with "No Trespassing", "Get our of Get Bit", "Mean f*&^%$# guard dogs', as well as a 6 ft. plastic skeleton hanging from a tree. Well, he only ever actually met one JW in his whole life, my mother & he was NOT impressed with her. What got him so mad, other than his beautiful woods being invaded by strangers (other than Trick or Treaters, which are always welcome), was theat an SUV with 4 adults in it said they did not see any signs! He told them either they all had such poor eyesight, none of them should be driving, or they are ARROGANT, & believe the "posted" signs, etc. do not apply to them. he kicked them back down the driveway, which was dirt at the time.
I told him if he had reached into my vehicle & pulled out a C of C book, it might have helped them more. He said he didn't care, it helped HIM. He said they invaded his airspace, & if China could shoot down a US plane for such an infraction, he could kick them out. He said they are way too invaisive & arrogant, & they just don't listen.

by Frannie Banannie inshe was thrilled with all the well-wishes, encouraging words and flowers yall sent....loved the irises, the japanese and other garden scenes and peaceful woodland and marine scenes and wind in her sails, and all the bouquets....and those of yall that shared your own personal struggles with kristy, she appreciated it very much and her heart goes out to yall.....she loved the poem from doubleedge and french baby face's accent.
good news!
the docs found out what was affecting her blood....anemia and an infection that had migrated from her uti and they've solved the cath problem, so she can go home probably tomorrow and get on the road to recovery very soon after they finish the regimen of antibiotics and get her built back up.
