Wings I think there has to be something bigger out there than us and Intelligent but who I don't know. Nothing but mystery and confusion lately as to who this being is.
I also believe there has to be other forms of life out there, we are such a little small planet in such a vast universe, why would we be the only life forms.
We just don't know enough unfortunately and there is nothing we can do about it. So I have decided to not worry and relax and enjoy life.

i've always wanted to ask this question to those that have decided to leave the organization.. what will you do when the great tribulation begins?.
right now folks, a lot is happening in the political world.. gordon brown (prime miniter of england) last week gave a speech to the un stating that it is time for the un to step in and solve the world's problems, (specifically mentioning the economy and hunger crisis worldwide.).
barrack obama is shaping up to be the next president, a fellow who sure knows how to persuade and lead great crowds.
Malkiel seems to have left the building????
If you come back Malkiel, I hope you know that we have been in your position and understand why you are doing this. Most of us have just have been fortunate enough to have seen the Truth and were able to spend our time with more positive thoughts and truths. You help us to appreciate even more our decision to leave the JW religion when you bring up things like this to us. There are many here that are armed with facts that they can back up.
Threads like this only CONFIRM THAT WE WERE SO RIGHT TO LEAVE THE WATCHTOWER SOCIETY!!!!
One thing I have noticed in the few months I have been on here is that when someone that is a JW comes on here and preaches to us that they leave soon after and they only comment on a few things, never never do they confront or come back at posts that makes sense and have factual backup. I understand why he left because he felt persecuted by some of the posters........but I am sure that made him feel more righteous and that he should not listen to anything further said because of those few. Like all of the JW's they only talk and preach and quote scriptures but they don't listen. Their eyes glaze over and they just leave finally.
I wish I could express myself like some of you here, great JOB you did. I am overwhelmed reading some of the heartfelt, intelligent, well thoughout messages here. I am so impressed.

Most of us that have left the organization have lived with that threat and worry. Its what kept us in and why we wasted years of our lives for so LONG.
Are you trying to put that typical JW scare tactic out on this Group. It won't work!!!!!
I/WE have heard predictions for years and years, with each political or religious change in the world. If its the end of this system so be it. The JW's have lied or given the wrong dates to many times. Its like the boy who cried wolf. A loving God will read hearts.

Your announcement may just be more exciting than the Sunday April 27th one at the Kingdom Hall
the much looked for (or so it seems) announcement coming to the finale of a watchtower study near you, may just be the thing about the book study and if so due to the time of year it is (at least in the northern hemisphere) it would make a fine opportunity for one and all in the congregation to meet say 6-6:30pm to participate in the field circus.
that way more people would be a home and therefore there would be more people to (irritate) talk to.
who knows, whatever it is, if it is in fact a change, it won't be for the betterment of the rank and file publisher.
I am soooooooooooooo confused, ANOTHER THREAD ON THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!! Is there any conclusions Yet or is it all just speculation.
I have heard on another discussion group that is just something about them doing away with the Book Study and condensing it into another meeting at the Kingdom Hall. If thats what it is, its not exactly EXCITING in my Opinion.
There are so many threads on this that I haven't been able to figure out what is spec and what is confirmed. Well I guess we will know for sure On Sunday.

i don't talk about this much here cuz this is a place where i can somewhat relieve the stress of my life but my hubby isn't doing very well.
he had a bad night and thinks he had a couple of seizures.
he's scared, i'm scared.
Mrs Jones, I have a few friends who have fibromyalgia I am told that a Rheumatolgist is the kind of doctor you need for Fibro. One of my closest friends has MS and Fibro, she lives in Washington State and she sees a neurologist for MS and a Rheumatologist for her Fibro. Just a thought.

So Sorry Mrs Jones about Mr Jones. Please go and get another doctor and find out what is wrong.
You are not alone with this feeling that Doctors don't care. I have been feeling the same way It took me 2 years to find out what was wrong with me they just shrugged their shoulders and said go home and live with it.. I suddenly went totally paralyzed and had horrible painful muscle spasms in Sept 07 and ended up in the hospital. They had to find out what was wrong then. I had MS. I had treatment and now am feeling better.
Please keep us updated. He sounds like such a sweetie. A man that designs clothes is a GEM.

i'm a jw in good standing.i was born a jw.my dad was an elder for about 15 years but he stoped going to the hall about 3 years ago.but i have doubts about the org.basically i don't think that we are living in the end,i don't think the earth will ever be a paradise.it really don't seem logical to me.anyway i feel like i'm having an inner fight between what i was raised to be and what i now believe.the only reason why i still go to the meeting is because of my mom and husband.i came here because i think that everyone here can help me.

You will find the support you need here. Its the best. I too as many others have learned that the Watchtower Society is not what it says it is. Fortunately for you, you have resources in this day and age to help you. When I left the "truth" there was no support and I thought I was doomed and wrong.
