  wife has been to two already....hers and another with a gf for a gf weekend dc thingy....her cuz has a part on the dc about two hours away and she wants to see him and fam......so taaaadaaaaa my elder/dad is taking me to the hospital.....the good ol...we can talk to you if it is a family emergency option overide ......good god (not) this is so insane....i feel like i am the twilight zone...........oompa.

  i mean morals...natural inborn morals....that you love and protect your family and you show them love and not just say it......

  awwww thanks all....surgery was two hours but a breeze.....pain not so bad.....hell i went to a bday party that night in raleigh...against doctors orders to not drive for twenty four hours btw...lol...and i had a blast...i would not have even met these great friends if not for jwd!......oomps

  god i have a ton of them collecting dust in my closet....42 long if you need one....i told my dad/elder to help himself as i have no use for them anymore.....damm i hated dressing up three times a flukkin week........how did i do that for so long??

  i was just reading a funny thread posted by fallen_princess about stupid jw directives and something about seat saving came up....it reminded me of how i foiled the crime of seat saving at conventions....i would just save every other seat and it usually worked saving every third seat....i mean who walks in and picks a seat where you have to sit next to sombody else??

  ?...............i loved breaking rules i guess..................oompa.

  Aug. 15th WT - WT Society Dissing Internet Again - All JW's Beware !

  we always know when the gb or wt leaders are nervous and worried about potential alleged " threats " to jehovah's witnesses - because they repetitively keep mentioning these perceived " threats " in talks at assemblies or in wt articles constantly.. the " witness only " august 15th wt is no different.

  in a non-study article entitled " the internet - making wise use of a global tool " once again the wt society instills doubt and fear into witnesses by " warning " them about use of the internet.

  3 " while the internet can provide valuable information, save us time, and serve a useful function, it can also misinform us, consune an inordinate amount of our time, and corrupt us morally.

  Safehouse?

  do you think there would be much call for a safehouse for people escaping abusive/cult situations?

  looking for ideas for locations, financing, other considerations.

  i watched a pbs documentary on hasidic jews in nyc...they are even worse than jw in many ways...they dont have to knock on doors but youth get no movies and im pretty sure no tv...when they start to question or want out they are kicked out of their homes literally....so there are some safe houses for these teens set up by one who was kicked out and is now older....they needed more safe houses as i think there about 10 living in one apartment........i hate all cults and controlling religions...god they can mess you up......oompa

  The Governing Body has NEVER claimed to be inspired…

  there was a recent thread here which covered the subject of the gb claiming to be spirit directed (and not actually inspired by the holy spirit).

  by now, most of us are quite aware that this is just a play with words to excuse themselves whenever one of their false doctrines is debunked (by someone using the bible or their own publications).

  but when you think of it, spirit-directed is actually more presumptuous than spirit-inspired.. that being said, id really like to draw attention to the fact that the wt continuously claims that the governing body of jehovahs witnesses has never claimed to be inspired by god (through his holy spirit).

  i like the info a lot.....and it ALMOST says they claim to be a prophet....and you can sort of conclude that in the first paragraph but they do not identify who the current prophet is....and then

  geeze the second paragraph even ends saying they are a "prophetlike orginazation" .....when of course they could have said they were gods inspired prophet today........they didnt....................oompa
