  Someone "in the know" about Johnny told me where he is presently located, also told Rick the same thing, so he knows too. However, I must say that when he first called in I did believe he was at Bethel.

  I forgot my parents' anniversary

  hubby turned to me a couple of days ago and said "it's your parents' anniversary" and i said "who?

  " hubby replied "exactly" and laughed.

  i wasn't being facetious, i just didn't hear what he said but totally understand why hubby would say "exactly".

  by a pretty jw lady to the memorial.

  hubby got the door but waited for me to come to the door (he was on the phone).

  i listened to her introduction and held the memorial tract, then i handed it back and said quite firmly that i was not interested.

  I noticed for a few years my mother used to brag about the astronomical number of attendees at the Memorial, I asked her what's to brag about they just show up once a year and reminded her how the Jdubs talk about Christendom and how they only go to church on Chrismas and Easter, that shut her down from bragging to me, but I'm sure the blinded folks at the KH will always be amazed at the turnout, which by the way I understand has dropped quite signficantly.

  i'm a loner.. offline, i have few friends.

  the friends i do have are dear to me but i'm bad at communicating with them, meaning i don't call often.

  facebook has been a boom with me cuz i can keep contact with folks i really care about without being constantly in contact with them which would drive me crazy.. on this board i haven't got too deep with folks.

  I guess it is a Jdub thing, I'm in the same boat with the majority here.

  As far as FB goes, I hope all the young folks who have 500 plus people following them don't actually think all or the majority of those people are actual friends, ah youth . . . I guess they'll find out one day. . . !

  It was also on TV in New York City on one of the local channels back around 1966 or 1967. I still remember a store we used to pass on the bus with the poster in the window advertising the broadcasting of the show.

  I remember this bro. when I was growing up, seems like he would get DF'd then after he got reinstated he would always have a new fiance with him, (gee, wonder what his offense was?) I can recall four different wives.

  There was a Cong. in Brooklyn, think it was Spring Creek, a JW couple who lived on my block used to go there, said that practically everyone in the Hall got DF'd after the CO came for a visit, this was in the 70's.

  Syl, be sure and read up on that mastica, and once your system gets properly aligned it would be a good thing to check out some probiotices, and PLEASE don't be fooled by that yogurt that Jamie Lee Curtis advertises, get some actual capsules that will will give your gut some "friendly flora" !

  a few days ago i picked up a book entitled "life lessons for women - 7 essestial ingredients for a balanced life.

  " i imagine that many of us (especially ex-jws) are on a quest to find balance and the title of this book appealed to me.. this is one of those books that challenges you to look inward and examine what who you are.

  no sooner had i begun reading (pg 13) when i faced my first real challenge....the question reads: "what are 3 things i've accomplished in my life that i'm most proud of?".
