Hubby turned to me a couple of days ago and said "It's your parents' anniversary" and I said "Who?" Hubby replied "Exactly" and laughed. I wasn't being facetious, I just didn't hear what he said but totally understand why hubby would say "exactly". My parents have put us through hell since we got back to California. It got so bad that we don't speak much. I don't have the stomach for it.
So will she call you this weekend and say "I thought we would've heard from you" or something to that effect ?

My parents can't call cuz hubby block all of their numbers. He's going to unblock one of their numbers and if they behave it will stay unblock. I'm not holding my breathe on the behaving part.
You're right Outlaw. They hate my husband, anything said about my anniversary (18 years last December) is treated like a joke by my parents so I don't go there.
I wish I could win the lottery, Josie.
Then, I would see to it that y'all would no longer have to deal with that nonsense.
I've had to cut off some of my family members.
They were driving me too crazy.

In America, my dear WaterSprout, some dark-skinned Black people don't like light-skinned Black people, and vice-versa.
My maternal g'ma disliked me because I'm light-skinned.
That really messed with my head and heart.
