I always like to see others who have crafts or hobbies that they enjoy. It makes life so much better when you tap into the creative side of your brain. They are also very helpful to someone leaving the Borg.
I vote for a picture also!
i knitted a doll for my daughter.
i had started it a while ago (maybe close to 2 years) and decided to finally finish it.
my daughter knew about the doll and would ask about it.

i am a rather old fogey on the matter - just black and hot.
but i like the occasional mocha.. what use of this universal bean is your favorite?
how many do you drink a week?
Yes I agree that avatar is delightfully distracting.
well i got disfellowshiped for "immorality".
me and my girl friend went to europe and eventually ended up in croatia.
(what a beautiful place by the way).
I married a Norwegian woman and I also agree, just don't get them mad. They have a habit of going viking on you real quick.
it snowed here at the end of december and i said then that it usually doesn't snow here in the seattle area until january or february.. well.............they predicted a big snowstorm last night, and it didn't happen, but it's snowing now, really hard.
not sure if it will last long, because the weather forecasters can't seem to predict much correctly, other than rain and wind.. i was hoping to take pictures but it's dark, so will have to wait until morning.
a cold front is supposedly going to last awhile here, so the snow should be around for a few days this time..
That looks like an awsome sled run there!

A friend owned a coffee shop and he told me the averge double tall cost's him about .22 cents.
I roast all of my own coffee and for several others also. Years ago I made lattes, caps etc but now I just like plain old coffee. Home roasting makes it so good that it needs nothing else. You also save anywhere from 50% to 75% by buying the green beans.

Here in Yelm WA we got five inches and school has been closed for a second day. The sun has been peeking out and it is so incredible looking. I have been taking pictures like crazy of Mt Rainier and the bald hills. This AM I was out 4x4ing and having a great time. This is our third dumping this winter.
Here is a pic from our deck from the snow we had two weeks ago.
every so often i get to share some of my thooughts about the borg and my new found beliefs with my mom , who is a die hard pioneer for over 20 years.. we actually have had decent conversations about doctrines and interpertations of the scriptures, and she has admitted that at times the borg may have misapplied certain scriptures over the years.. her excuse is that imperfect men sometimes make mistakes and jehovah makes allowances for this.. but what really gets her upset is when i bring up certain aspects of my childhood, that because of her belief in the borg, she made some unwise decisions for not only me be her family.. me getting baptized at 13, her not being fully supportive of higher education, cutting off family members, pushing me into an early marriage when i was clearly not ready, teaching me that all "worldly people', including my father woiuld die at armageddon, these are just a few examples that when we discuss them, she becomes extremely angry and then accuses me of making her out to be a bad mother.. i got me thinking, do you think that many dubs refuse to acknowledge the problems with their religion because it would mean that they made some really bad decsions in their and their families lives.. are they afraid to accept the responsiblity for this because of the guilt they would suffer?.
what are your thoughts?
.
Sometimes it's what you do not say that sends the strongest message. My parents have had a very rocky marriage and I have a divorced aunt and uncle that are JW's. After my wife and I got married word trickled back to me that my mom was overheard saying that our marriage could not possibly last without having the "biblical" guidance from the Borg. That was sixteen years ago and my marriage is doing just fine. Now my mom is asking my wife for marital advice, UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!
My parent's only non JW grandaughter is the best behaved of all the rest who are being raised as JW's. I know that because she tells me each time my daughter visits them. I know my mom is getting more confused each year that goes by. By all accounts we should have been divorced and have horrible kids by now.
JW's may not listen to us but they have no choice but to observe us. The silence can be deafening to them.
i always wondered why jw's didn't stop by to say hello, just to encourage or by friendship?.
but if i showed up at the hall, after many months, they would be happy to see me, and would come to talk to me, and ask what,s going on in my life as if they were really interested in me.
so, if they were happy to see me at the hall, why wouldn't they be happy showing up at my place too.. why is it that only the elders come over to see me once in a blue moon?.
I have found almost the perfect comeback to JW's when they tell me "You can always come back". I ask them "Come back to what?". A group of people that put on a clown act that they were my friends? That would not give me the time of day? No thanks!!!! I can do just fine without "friends" like that. Then I usually get the "I am sorry you feel like that" to which I respond that it is not a feeling it's an observable fact. Then all I get is the shoulder shrug from them.
What is so ironic is that they don't exactly leave the door open for anyone to come back, even if they wanted to. You would think that by now they would have fiqured it out. Especially given the stagnant growth they are seeing.
I call that cutting of your nose just spite your face. They are truly ignorant and are thier own worse enemy.
well looks like the governing body is getting 2007 off to a great start.
here is a little audio clip that somebody pointed out to me: .
I have been out for twenty years and that does not sound one bit different then any other talk at any given circuit or district assembly. If you bleeped out the year it could be confused with any talk from the last forty years from my perspective.
Seeing that picture of the governing body in another post I could predict they may over anytime in '07.
dear givers of the benefit of the doubt,.
i recall that in discussing "love believes all things," the aid book stated that we should give our "brother" the benefit of the doubt until we have good reason to no longer do so.
that's the gist of it.
Orangefatcat with that avatar I could be easily convinced of trollism on your part.
