  Who is considered more bizarre?

  from a public point of view not from people within the religion as that would be obvious.. examples of extreme beliefs or behaviour would be useful..

  I've long thought that Mormons have some weird beliefs, but they are much better members of the community than JW's.

  
  Mormons are weirder and have a much crazier doctrine and have still achieved the Watchtower dream- being considered a more mainstream religion. Kinda like they are just more devout, but still do Christmas and serve in the military and put education high on their list of priorities.

  They may be more accepted in the United States for all that, plus they are extremely a white religion.

  How can I promote a book that is exJW related?

  i have a friend in guatemala who was born and raised in el salvador.. he wrote a book in spanish which i am translating to english.. normally, he would be making enough money to provide for his family by working at a textile factory as their graphics designer.

  but, given the covid19 crisis, he was laid off.. he was hoping to make a little side money by writing a book before this whole covid19 thing hit, and he sold only a few copies of the spanish version, because the market is small and it's really small in the spanish-speaking exjw community.the book is really good, it's very entertaining, and it gives a fresh perspective of what it was to be a latino jw and coming of age in the early 1990's.so... any tips on how to promote it?

  i would like to sell it at $10usd and sell at least 100 copies.

  i agree with him on some issues and disagree on others.

  but today he said something i believe is an out and out lie.

  there is an allegation floating around saying he assaulted one of his female staffers .

  most mainstream media do not report on this claim.

  they either don’t believe it or don’t want to believe it.. funny how if it were brett kavanaugh or donald trump, they would be all over it.

  I had to give Brett Kavanaugh a pass on such an allegation as was presented so I will do the same for Joe.
  That said, I do think the charge needs to be looked into more seriously than it has been.
  
  Minimus said: "I bet Joe could pass a lie detector test and say he didn’t molest anyone. He doesn’t know where he is right now."
  
  Sadly, I think Joe would pass the test for such a reason.

  Circuit Overseer to Answer My Questions + Concerns...or Not

  hello all, i'm 'researching', a jw who is in the first steps of taking a look at their beliefs.. i've semi-recently (about a couple weeks ago) heard about the sexual abuse cases (pennsylvania attorney general’s investigation request) and then the arc in 2015. this lead to a deep investigation, which lead to many questions arising.

  a jw friend of mine suggested i be careful (due to apostates) and ask the brothers.

  so i typed up my questions + concerns and emailed an elder my mother has known for a long time.

  All you get from them will probably be "Have faith, wait on Jehovah, the world belongs to Satan and many people lie to make money." Then they will go into the "No True Scotsman" defense. (You can look that up in wikipedia.) Basically, if a JW isn't acting right, then they are not a true JW.
  
  All the stuff about the 2 witnesses- they will NOW say that is just part of the congregation and doesn't change the legal side of the issue and they will not really address how it has done so much harm, like in the findings of the ARC.
  
  But ask away.

  Just as most will never let go, I will never fully let go of hope that my people will let go- or at least I hope my wife will lose enough interest to stay fully involved into her retirement years.
  
  They may never let go, but they get more and more involved with "the world" and less and less involved with living and breathing and thinking JW stuff 24/7. You never know.

  this week's study, no 52, march 1 2020 wt dec 1919. picture description (on page 27) for pages 23 and 26 but not for the one on page 24, too embarrassing?

  picture it, page 24. the wt lady, with a head volume ~8 times that of the gentlemen sitting behind her, eager to have her voice boom in the kingdom hall, raising arms with 3 other "sisters", whereas all 4 males are abstaining.

  while there are many excellent web sites that explain a few jw nwt bible translation problems, are there any comprehensive lists of nwt scripture errors online please?.

  are there any comprehensive lists of NWT scripture errors online

  The problem is much different than listing NWT errors. Translating ancient texts from the copies of copies of copies (etc.) allows for many errors to be unproven as such. The error is mostly in interpretation and application of your version.

  Plus, one could list the same type of errors about any translation of the Bible.

  Its a great book, thats a great TED talk.

  The biggest part of Amber's book being a thorn is it being a mainstream published book and her getting interviews such as one on the Daily Show.

  Many great ex-JW books are barely known except to those that are already ex-JW's.
