There are things that people believe that go too far. But it's not limited to the left.
There are people who believe that more guns will make everyone safer, that they should not listen to scientists but rather to businessmen and personal opinions of non-scientists about climate change, that Planned Parenthood kills babies and sells body parts, chemtrails are a government conspiracy to poison people, and some even accept that women cannot get pregnant from genuine rape.

The Latest From The Loony Left
by Simon inso apparently, not only can people identify as men or women, regardless of reality, but they've now declared that people can identify as black or white as well!
no word yet from rachel dolezal, who will no doubt be declared a visionary, and sadly michael jackson didn't live long enough to celebrate.. i must say, now that i am a black woman, my views on reparations have completely changed.
y'all owe me some reparations bitches to make up for slavery yo.

Overlapping Generation
by pandorasbox1914 inthe september 2015 broadcast had david splane explain matthew 24:34 “truly, i say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place”.
his explanation of this scripture was by means of a chart to indicate an overlapping generation.. .
no scripture was used to show the overlapping generation concept, and as a result it makes no sense.. to illustrate how crazy this concept is, look at the lyrics of the song my generation.. my generation.

The G.B. might as well be saying "Badges? We don't need no badges. We don't have to show you any stinking badges."
Now substitute "proof with scriptures" instead of "badges."
It was one of the easiest ways to not abandon any previous teachings yet, buying time for them to come up with som other whacky doctrine involving the flood or seven times or whatever.

How it will end for the believers
by iankiptoo intoday, many signs have been fulfilled showing that we are in the end times and much has been said in regards to armageddon, tribulation... etc but little in regards to what happens to those who believe and what transitions them to be free and escape from all that to the final destination.
this is my focus and message is based on that.in creation, there were two trees at the centre of the garden of eden and we are familiar with what happened;man ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and then we are familiar with the ramifications afterwards.
now through jesus christ, the events that will lead to the end for those who believe are in 3 stages1.knowledge will be increased (daniel 12:4)there will be a transition, knowledge will transition from that of the tree of knowledge of good and evil to also include knowledge of the tree of life and this brings with it a transformation that will bring in the second phase2.healingthe knowledge/belief/faith will bring about spiritual transformational healing, also practical knowledge i.e.

Many believers will wake up sometime in their lifetime and stop believing. It might not happen until they are old and realize they have wasted their life in belief.
The rest will die believing, and not go to Heaven or Hell and will never know they were wrong. -

The Evolution Of The Watchtower Cult
by pale.emperor insince waking up from the cult i've been curious about where the cult is going and how will it end up?
will it fizzle out or become a little fringe "religion" like plymouth bretheren or the shakers?.
we've already seen the cult evolve from:.

I was surpised to learn that many hardcore teachings being pushed in the 1980's and 90's as if "we always taught that," were radical changes.
Apparently, Watchtower has to keep changing their doctrines when the calender causes a problem or when money becomes the catalyst.
Now, I am pretty much immune to the constant changes. Let me know when they drop 1914 entirely or announce a definite doomsday date.

I feel that if you follow this expert on the Hebrew Bible, Francesca Stavrakopoulou, you may get anwers. Don't purchase any material unless you are sure you want it. Many videos and books, papers are free on the internet somewhere.
She did a BBC series called THE BIBLE'S BURIED SECRETS (not to be confused with an American series by same name.) One episode was THE REAL GARDEN OF EDEN. I saw it on youtube or similar.
It is a journey to learn the real truth, or to unlearn the lies. Enjoy wherever it takes you.

New Armageddon date?
by neat blue dog inlooking at the most recent wt the study article focuses on the jubilees.
the made a separate box in the article to highlight the math behind jubilees, and i'm wondering if they're trying to get people thinking and stir up the pot without actually making a false prophecy.
for instance: jubilees happened every 7 times 7 years.

Sometimes, my posts drop everything after the quote. When I try to correct it, it gets worse.
I said after quoting eyuse2badub above:
"They will NEVER attach new doctrine to their old failed predictions for 1975. They will not attach anything new to something that reminds people how wrong they were. It will never happen." -

Look out for 2025! That will be the Jubilee year dating from 1975. Remember 1975 the "can't fail " year that Armageddon would destroy billions!
Yep 1975 + 50 = 2025.
Oops is there a zero year that I missed? If so maybe it's 2026. My guess is as good as theirs!
just saying! -

Seeking advice
by Mizalisa ini'm not a jw, nor was i raised jw.
for the past three years i have been involved with a man who was raised jw, who at first told me he no longer believed as they did, but who, it has become clear over time, has not told his family or religious community the truth.
he has strung me along for years, never introduced me to anyone in his life.

My condolences on your loss of love. I just wanted to add that you should not be wanting to kick yourself for not realizing how "in" he still is. He was lying to himself as much as anything else.
While it would be wonderful to help such a person, the most help was to leave and have him realize what he lost because he wasn't ready to look at it honestly.
I wish you peace. Hey, there are a bunch of awesome single ex-Jehovah's Witnesses on this site. The vast majority of them will never go back. LOL, but you might just want to go out there and find someone not involved at all.
