Actually Sandy that song was released in May of 1962 by Pat Boone, just never made any headway on the Billboard charts. It is a good song for dancing.

Cant wait. After all that is going on in my life right now, tonight I forget all the stress and go see Englebert at the Proctors Theatre in Schnectady NY. I'm treating myself to dinner, a few drinks and then its off to listen to one of the best voices I think ever to sing a love song. I got a front row center balcony seat overlooking the stage. I hope he sings a song from his latest album "Unchained Melody". I saw him sing this once before on a PBS special. I know many a musican has covered this song, but he just has a way of bringing the heart into it.

My favorite weather...what's yours? (Ozzie's gone fluffy!)
by ozziepost inyep, as i'm tapping away here i started to hear the gentle roar on the patio roof - it was a shower!
and the water's free!.
looking out the window i marvel at the richness of the green - the green leaves on the trees and bushes in the backyard, the green of the grass - and it's various shades too!

Had a nice surprise today
by fullofdoubtnow ini had a phone call today from an old friend and, to be honest, it was one i had been dreading.
the lady in question used to be my pioneer partner, we got baptised on the same day, march 26th 1983, and started pioneering at the same time, and have been friends for well over 20 years.. a few years ago yvonne and her husband steve left derby and moved to south wales, but we have kept in touch, and i have visited them on several occasions, but haven't told them that i am no longer a jw, so when i got the call today i thought she was ringing me about our baptism anniversary, which would have been this sunday.
she had tried ringing my old number, which i am no longer on, and decided to try my mobile.

AuldSoul my friend, I take the liberty to call you such. My heart bleeds hearing this. You don't know how much your posts have help me when coming out. You were among the first to welcome me to the forum. You have been there when I needed help scanning things and hosted them for me. Your posts have put so many of the WTS teachings in the proper light. ( NOT NEW LIGHT ). Your intelligence and wit along with your blend of humor is second to none. How many times when I would see your name on a thread, I would always have to see what you had to say. You are truly admired by many here in this community. We will always be here for you, unconditionally. I don't know how much a Big ole Trucker can give, but what I have is yours for the asking .

Very well put. Yeah we can all relate to most JW reactions. I have been called everything from an apostate to a Swine and everything in between. They don't believe in Name Calling. But do it themselves all the time. Cognitive Dissonance.

The Watchtower Society killed my website
by Elsewhere inyou can thank the watchtower society for this.. here is an email from my hosting company:.
unfortunately it appears your site/account was involved in violation of using copyrighted material involved with watch tower bible and tract society of pennsylvania.".
as a result of this abuse and activity, we will be unable to reinstate this account for any reason.. in addition, due to the nature of this abuse and the risk of transferring sensitive or illegal content if we were to provide you your files, we will be unable to provide with backups.. it is unfortunate that this has occurred, and we are aware that more than likely this was not your intent to host, however the fact remains it did exist and complaints were made.

So sorry to hear your site was shut down. What the WTS doesn't know is that it was just one of many clones.

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month
by rebel8 inhttp://www.silentlambs.org/aprilabusemonth.htmapril is child abuse awareness month!
suggestions on what we might do to raise abuse awareness in our local communities go by local abuse organizations and drop off information about silentlambs and ask if they would like to have a video for their library.
offer to bring by copies of silentlambs brochures that are printable off the website.

I was abused when I was 8 by my father. No not sexually, but what he did to me would make anyone sick to their stomach. After which I could no longer look at him the same. I hated him. Only one poster on here knows what he did. He died when I was 13. It was the best thing that ever happened.
