I had an epiphany

i will start by apologizing for the following rant and i hope i do not bore everyone but this is on my mind.

i had an epiphany.

it may have been a segment on the today show, a short piece about catholics and celibacy that started the thought process.

We have alot in common. It's great to see your hubby is going to college. You guys could cut back and both go. Get an education. You didn't lose your brains just because a little light came on inside your head. Even if your husband gets into a field where he can make ridiculous money--you get an education anyway. It's a great way to learn about yourself. I can only speak from my best friend's perspective--I never went.
Its hard growing up with all those rules. Just trying to be a decent person is hard enough. The thing is they equate Jehovah not loving you anymore with all those rules. It's enough to break a person's spirit. Welcome, and keep us posted. It was so great to meet you.

i've been off of cigarettes for almost a week now.

i'm chewing nicotine gum like mad, but i can still feel myself melting down inside.

the world seems like such a crummy place to be right now.

Dave, I tired to quit 15 years ago and made it a whopping 10 hours! So you are doing well. Everytime I think about quitting I go into a panic. I've done it so long, it's just my pacifer.
It'll be worth the effort. From what people have told me, you feel better when you quit. I don't know if I'll ever find that out for myself though.

The Butterfly Effect

I rented The Butterfly Effect when it first came out on video, then saw it again over the weekend on satelite. I've seen both endings, the one where he goes back to the baby stage was very sad, so I enjoyed the other ending.
He goes back to pivotal points in their childhoods, trying to make things right for all of them. It was rather disturbing. It makes you think of the impact one single event can have on your entire life and the lives of those around you.
We watch TONS of movies here. It's hard for me to find something I haven't seen when I go out to rent something.

It's so hard to keep quiet while they look at you like you are the devil incarnate. But I agree with Stilla, always keep your cool and don't show your rear end. That's where they will say "Aha! See that apostate acting a fool"
Hey I wanna write a book "How Stilla Got Her Groove Back". Sorry Stilla, couldn't resist it, it just popped in my head outta nowhere.

I had never heard of these two before now. Just spent 20 minutes reading about them. He was a sadist and she was a sado-masochist. She does seem cold and calculating. Having been in an abusive relationship myself, I still can't understand how she would willingly take part. Seems like narcissistic behavior.
Had they committed their crimes in Texas, I can envision a different ending.

The Good News and Bad News (Brace yourselves; cause it is bad)

the good news: i just saved a bunch more money on my car insurance by switiching to progressive!

(though i do miss the free talking duck aflac would send me once a year)

the bad news: it has just been announced at the kingdom hall today that as of now the watchtower is being translated into 152 languages instead of what used to be 151.

Y'all are killin' me! I would translate it into backwoods Southerner for 'yuns but I cain't spell that grate. The hip-hop translation made me pee my pants. Can y'all see Li'l John and hiz East Side Boys? OMG.

Hey Stilla,
You could probably say I'm bitter--but I don't want to be. It wastes alot of energy. Since I was born into it, I never really had a choice. I've had anxiety and depression problems my whole life. (Actually have a little bald spot where I pull hair from my head one at a time on some days). The one thing that gets me is I'll never know how my life could have been. It makes me so sad (and angry). It just seems like a waste. Maybe I should see a shrink, but I don't want to. Maybe it's fear of how they treat "religious nuts".
Whoever it was that posted those steps to recovery, THANKS. I seem to be stuck between step 2 and 3.

i used to be a dj back in the day.

i worked at a rollerskating rink when disco was king and did private gigs as well.
